A Splunk resource invest time in understand the application behavior and deeper understand of all the application logging.
Closely works with SME\'s to document the known errors and categorizing business failures and system failures
Creates framework for monitoring and alerting.
Looks for enhancement opportunities in Splunk Knowledge objects.
Researches client impacting incidents and evaluates the Splunk knowledge objects for gap analysis.
Engaged with Deployment and Development teams to understand new features introduced to Applications. What you will do:
You need to be a quick learner to understand all the alerts and monitoring within first 60 days.
Work in all shifts to understand application behaviors in Business and non-business hours.
Creates complex Splunk dashboard and extensively must use regex
Continual improvement of Dashboards and alerts based on monitoring findings.
Optimize Dashboards and alerts using new features in Splunk
Is also expected to work on other enterprise APM tools like ServiceNow, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Autosys, SFG, etc.
Need to be a part of a 24*7 team and work in rotation in all shifts. What you will need to have:
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
Extensive Splunk knowledge
Must have worked in a monitoring team previously.
Ability to work under pressure.
Understanding of .net technologies.
Exposure to Enterprise monitoring tools will be added advantage.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Good at prioritizing the tasks and commitment to complete them.
Strong team player / customer service orientation. Demonstrated ability to work with both end users and technical staff.
Ability to track progress against assigned tasks, report status, and proactively identifies issues.
Demonstrate the ability to present information effectively in communications with peers and project management team.
Highly Organized and Works well in a fast paced, fluid and dynamic environment. What would be great to have:
Experience of Network related components, terminology and functions.
Banking and Financial Services experience
Experience in Tool like Python, MFOO, AppDynamics & Dyntrace
Command line knowledge of Unix and Windows
Exposure to Autosys, ServiceNow, etc.
