As a Technical Project Manager, you play an integral role in leading a high performing team to deliver technical projects on time, to budget and that achieve both the project objectives and increase Telstra\xe2\x80\x99s customer satisfaction. This is a hybrid role where you apply your technical expertise in ICT infrastructure, network and Telstra products with inspiring people leadership skills to lead your team and develop their capabilities to deliver exceptional customer and business outcomes.

You leverage your project management expertise and adept communication skills to lead the end-to-end project lifecycle and by doing so, you directly shape the success of Telstra\xe2\x80\x99s projects and therefore our business.

Responsibilities

Utilize extensive knowledge and experience in project management & ICT software engineering. Familiarity with Telstra products, to lead a team in successfully delivering technical projects on time, within budget, and according to the defined scope.

Contribute to the development of project plans, objectives, deliverables, resource allocation and performance measures. Monitor project progress, identifying and addressing risks and issues that may arise and escalate any unexpected deviations from the original plan.

Effectively communicate project quality and risk management procedures to both the project team and stakeholders. Ensuring compliance with governance structures, project management standards and reporting requirements.

Engage and influence a team of technical project delivery specialists, setting realistic deadlines, clarifying expectations and developing clear and motivating plans that empower individuals to achieve their best work. Provide coaching and mentoring to both technical and non-technical team members to enhance their delivery capabilities.

Translate complex technical concepts and challenges into language that can be understood by non-technical team members and stakeholders. Facilitating effective communication and driving project outcomes.

Recognized as an expert in project management and technical product knowledge, with a keen understanding of market trends and their potential application in delivering technical projects that result in improved customer outcomes.

Utilize extensive technical expertise and project experience to identify opportunities for innovation and enhance team effectiveness, actively contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that have measurable impacts on project and team outcomes.

Essential Skills

8+ years of experience in leading a high performing team to deliver technical projects on time.

Experience in Agile Practices to set principles and approaches that guide the development and management of software projects.

Experience in planning, tracking, and controlling financial resources to achieve desired goals and objectives.

Experience in identifying, assessing, and prioritizing potential risks or uncertainties that could affect an organization or individual\'s objectives or goals.
