Corporate Technology designs, delivers and supports the technology solutions that enables LSEG\'s full business lifecycle. This spans capabilities from lead generation through to revenue, including all associated corporate back office functions for example Human Resource and Finance. We deliver capabilities that are tightly coordinated with our propositions and products, offering a consistent and personalized experience for our customers. Within Corporate Technology, the DORT team looks to provide better data driven experiences for employees and product users, and enterprise-wide data governance, enabled through corporate data platforms and capabilities.

Role Overview

As a Data Enablement Product Owner you will bridge the gap between internal customers and technology. In partnership with Scrum Masters, Business Stakeholders, Technical Architects, Solution Designers and other Subject Matter Experts, you will elicit, analyse and clearly articulate requirements in the form of JIRA Stories. You will handle a backlog and take obe responsible for prioritization, scoring and ultimately delivery keeping internal customers and scrum team engaged throughout.

Product Owners are an important member of the team and will be accountable for data subject areas, acting as a domain authority to respond to Customer questions, resolve issues and partner withsource system teams. The Product Owner will act in part as Program Manager while partnering with Business PM and Technical Delivery PM and Scrum Master to ensure roadmap projects are successfully delivered.

To be a successful candidate you will need to have strong empathy with customer\'s needs the ability to negotiate and challenge, have analytical and problem-solving skills, use Product Owner and Agile project techniques optimally and be able to complete program delivery and business as usual activities.

Major Areas of Responsibility
  • Works closely with Customers to negotiate the most impactful Minimum Viable Product (MVP), seeking excellent value whilst avoiding dependencies, impediments or technical challenges as far as possible
  • Demonstrates fantastic skill at eliciting and assessing true customer needs, outcomes, and value, always challenging questionable scope
  • Uses business analysis techniques, tools and templates to great effect during the course of an assigned project
  • Develop and maintains a close working relationship with Scrum Masters,, customers, Technology Architects and Solution Designers.
  • Create detailed JIRA Stories with clear definition of done and acceptance criteria.
  • Take ownership of the delivery of features and capabilities throughout the development process.
  • Planning and Support for Release, and required User Acceptance Testing. Partnering with Release Management team.
  • Represent Data Enablement improvements and projects at Change Control and Fitness For Launch meetings acting as SME in this area.
  • Develop and maintain data set knowledge in Enterprise Data Warehouse.
  • Coordination with multiple workstream leads that may be dependent on integration points for various data owners to collect full requirements
  • Responsible for application integration requirements from the business users and data owners.
  • Analyze, map data exchange and define workflows between applications that are current and future software solutions.
  • Remain current with company news, policies, products and culture. Keep required training up to date.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years demonstrated ability as a Technology Product Owner / Technical Business Analyst, having worked on a variety of projects
  • Solid experience in Agile and Product Owner role. Experienced in gathering requirements, prioritisation, and refining user stories.
  • Experience of solutions involving technologies including ETL tools (like Informatica), Data Warehousing, BI Tools like Tableau, & PBI will be necessary to the role.
  • Experience with Application Development projects
  • Good experience in e2e business processes
  • Strong customer management, with confidence to challenge preconceptions of outcomes and solutions.
  • Good communication and facilitation skills, ideally running workshops
Desirable Skills
  • Good communication, presentation, and customer engagement skills
  • A good understanding of software development lifecycles and methodologies
  • Good familiarity with project management and architecture disciplines
  • Proficient with business analysis tools and Microsoft Office products
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience using Agile methodologies such as Scrum and/or Kanban
Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent experience
  • Certification in Business Analysis, by a recognisable institution, is a plus
  • Demonstrable training in software development lifecycle or methodologies
