Job Description

Our client, a global consulting firm, is working on a large-scale digital transformation project with an Indian insurance company. The project aims to review and assess the current technology and design the future state tech and data architecture. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a comprehensive digital and technology architecture.

Hence, they are looking to onboard a Technology Architect with prior experience in the BFSI , preferably Insurance industry to support them on this project.

Responsibilities of the consultant:

- Develop and implement a comprehensive digital and technology architecture for the insurance company, encompassing applications, software platforms, integration architecture, tech stacks, and a devsecops pipeline

- Design and maintain the technology architecture, including software, middleware, databases, and integrations, with a preference for a modular/microservices-based enterprise and platform solution

- Provide oversight and guidance on cloud, IT infrastructure, and network infrastructure requirements, ensuring alignment with the bank\'s architecture

- Assess the existing architecture and hardware/software components to identify additional requirements and oversee the integration of various banking systems, applications, and platforms for seamless operations and data flows

- Evaluate new technology solutions, tools, vendors, and ecosystem partners to support the delivery of the digital transformation project. Consider cost-effectiveness, regulatory requirements, and risks associated with implementing new technologies within the bank\'s ecosystem

- Provide guidance on ancillary technology strategy matters, such as cloud strategy, and support stakeholder capacity building on technology architecture

An ideal candidate would have:

- 10 to 20 years of experience as a technology architect in the BFSI industry

- Strong tech understanding across data architecture (data ingestion, governance, processing, and data repos - lake/warehouse), infrastructure, and cloud

- Effective communication and senior stakeholder management skillset

This is a contractual opportunity and the consultant will be on an initial 6-month contract with a possibility of extension. The selected consultant will be required to be based out of Mumbai for the duration of this project.
