We are looking for a Technology Architect, Platform to join our Infrastructure and Security Architecture team. You will be the subject matter expert supporting delivery of the IT portfolio of work and will create and design platform solutions for systems and services, maintaining documentation and developing architecture patterns and devops approaches using new technologies. What you will do Assess the health of enterprise platform capabilities, developing strategic and tactical plans for remediation Develop technology patterns, blueprints and standards to guide projects and programs Participate in communities of practice, sharing experience for the benefit of the broader technology function Maintain contact with suppliers, keeping track of road-maps and fitness & potential for IG Participate in governance for approval of solution and design and quality assurance Engage in R&D, evaluating and advising on technical solutions for specific areas Ensure the Enterprise architecture is fit for purpose against threats and business risk appetite Assess new products and tools for suitability, consulting on the selection and implementation Provide thought leadership in aspects of IT control selection relating to platform technologies Engage with Vendors and external interest groups to determine future direction Provide oversight for the technology estate and recommend standards and controls Provide specialist advice on initiatives and solutions, assuring delivery of cross cutting concerns Own technology principles and solutions that support the company s policies Maintain an up-to-date view of market trends and projects, updating and sharing knowledge Identify new technologies and architect these to meet specific business requirements Communicate with both technical and non-technical members of the organisation Work with stakeholders to understand the implications of business and technical change Who we are We ve been at the forefront of trading innovation since 1974, taking on the challenge to deliver an unmatched experience for our clients and raise the bar for tomorrow s opportunities. You should be able to demonstrate: A wide range of knowledge across both infrastructure and development A good knowledge of delivery methodologies and strong understanding of the software life-cycle A good working understanding of the secure software development and associated tooling In-depth knowledge and experience in platform technologies with a focus on security, performance and reliability A solid understanding of CI/CD technologies and methodologies Experience designing solution across both data center and public cloud technologies Expertise using AWS in particular, GCP desirable Good conceptual understanding of continer technologies, including Kubernetes Experience of consulting across multiple teams and projects simultaneously Experience of introducing change in organisations Strong analytical skills Ability to communicate effectively to business and technical stakeholders including senior leadership Deep understanding of infrastructure concepts and the ability to apply them technically Design and review of system architectures Understanding and articulation of cloud native architectures on existing and future designs and systems Good understanding of approaches for securing cloud and data center platforms and securing pipelines Working knowledge of application of automation and orchestration tooling Expertise designing application networking including load balancing, service discovery, service mesh Where you ll work As part of our hybrid working environment, you ll split your time between home and the office. This role is based in the Benguluru office with other Future Design Architects, along with many key stakeholders (both technical & business).
