Job Description

Diagnosis and Repair : Technicians diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles through inspection and testing. They use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and perform repairs or adjustments accordingly.

2. Routine Maintenance : They conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, filter replacements, and fluid checks to ensure vehicles operate efficiently and safely.

3. Technical Expertise : Technicians need to have a solid understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension, and electrical components. They may specialize in certain areas based on their training and experience.

4. Use of Tools and Equipment : Proficiency with various tools and equipment is crucial, including wrenches, diagnostic scanners, lifts, and computer software used for vehicle diagnostics and repair.

5. Compliance and Safety : Technicians follow safety protocols and procedures to handle hazardous materials and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. They may also need to adhere to manufacturer guidelines and warranty specifications. 6. Customer Service : Depending on the setting, Technicians may interact with customers to discuss vehicle issues, explain repairs, and provide estimates. Good communication skills and professionalism are important in these interactions.
