About the Role:As a Technical Writer at CleverTap, you will work with the product writing team to update technical documentation; this includes updating user and developer documentation.Our fast-growing B2B SaaS company is currently seeking a professional Technical Writer to join our expanding team. The successful applicant will be responsible for updating technical documents and manuals clearly and concisely and working with the product and engineering teams to ensure the accuracy of product descriptions.What will you do:- Develop engaging and informative product content for CleverTap\'s suite of software solutions.- User-centric Craft content, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and completeness while adhering to best practices in technical communication.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure content alignment with product goals.- Independently utilize authoring tools such as Oxygen XML Editor for DITA-based documentation, and source control systems like Git for managing source code documentation.- Leverage understanding of DITA (Darwin Information Typing Architecture) and Docs-as-code methodologies to streamline content creation and maintenance processes.- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of style guides and documentation workflows.- Work closely with stakeholders to deliver a variety of content types including user guides, API documentation, video tutorials, and release notes.- Incorporate multimedia elements such as videos to enhance user understanding and engagement.- Demonstrate a strong understanding of CleverTap\'s products, industry trends, and customer needs.- Conduct thorough self-edits and adhere to established quality standards to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of content.- Test content within the product environment to validate usability and functionality.What are we looking for?Must have:- Bachelor\'s degree in Technical Communication, Journalism, English, Computers or a related field.- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Technical Writer/Information Developer- Proficiency in clear and concise written communication, with a focus on plain language and structured authoring principles.- Passionate about writing great documentation that serves the user\'s needs for on-time information.- Ability to quickly grasp new technologies and tools.- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.- A customer-centric mindset with a deep understanding of the user journey.- Experience in API documentation and understanding of RESTful API principles.- Familiarity with video creation tools such as Trainn, Camtasia or Adobe Premiere Pro.- Familiarity with YAML and JSON for structured data representation.- Ability to follow the organization\'s style guide and suggest improvements to enhance clarity and consistency.Good to have:- Experience with Oxygen XML Editor or similar authoring tools for DITA-based documentation.- Familiarity with source control systems such as Git for managing source code documentation.- Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.- Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and version control systems (VCS).- Understanding of software development processes and agile methodologies.- Familiarity with DITA and Docs-as-code methodologies.Who will you report to: Director - Product DocumentationMeasures of Success:- Reduced support tickets- Project schedule adherenceWhy join us?- Be a part of a global growth stage startup- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your contribution matters- You are passionate about technology and its impact on the high growth mobile technology space- Innovate at scale, with learning opportunitiesWhat is working at CleverTap like?- Be a part of a global category creator - hyper growth B2B SaaS startup- Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your contribution matters- Work, performance and results are real sources of happiness in addition to the fun of working with and celebrating success with an exceptionally talented team- Accountability and driving outcomes is the key to success- Your career here is limited by you and nothing else- Teamwork trumps individual success- You are passionate about experience technology and its impact on enabling growth- Innovate at scale, with learning opportunities and having fun along the way!About the Function:At CleverTap, the product team is focussed on building the World\'s #1 Retention Cloud.
