Minimum qualifications: 5 years of experience producing technical documentation for a technical audience. Experience in technical writing, product documentation, or online publishing. Preferred qualifications: Experience with networking or cloud IaaS products. Experience with computer networking technologies, such as Domain Name System (DNS), routers, Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) routing protocol, firewalls and firewall rules including iptables, Virtual Private Networks and cloud-based services, and load balancers and proxies. Experience working in a Unix environment and with HTML or markdown. Ability to navigate ambiguity, support multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to take initiative. About the job Technical writers plan, create, and maintain educational content as an integral part of the engineering or user experience. The content is often in the form of documentation, but may also be UI text, sample code, videos, or other educational material. Regardless of the content medium, technical writers are distinguished by their abilities to explain complex topics in a way that\'s useful to their audience. In this role, you will create clear, well-organized, accurate, and easy-to-use documentation. You will work with the team and cross-functionally to deliver the useful and effective experience to the customer. Responsibilities Write technical documentation for developers and network and security engineers, including concept documents and application programming interfacereference documents. Design and organize documentation sets for new features. Rewrite and reorganize existing documentation to improve the customer experience. Edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by others, and coach non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills. Manage complex documentation projects, and take responsibility for the quality of the documentation.
