SUMMARYWe are looking for a talented and detail-oriented Technical Writer to join the WadhwaniAI PMU Unit at Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in writing and a keen understanding of emerging technology concepts. This role involves creating clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that communicates complex technical information effectively to a variety of audiences. The Technical Writer will work closely with the PMU unit, product managers, and government stakeholders to produce high-quality documentation that supports our products and services.Location - DelhiABOUT US -Wadhwani AI is a nonprofit institute building and deploying applied AI solutions to solve critical issues in public health, agriculture, education, and urban development in underserved communities in the global south. We collaborate with governments, social sector organizations, academic and research institutions, and domain experts to identify real-world problems, and develop practical AI solutions to tackle these issues with the aim of making a substantial positive impact.We have over 30+ AI projects supported by leading philanthropies such as Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID and Google.org. With a team of over 200 professionals, our expertise encompasses AI/ML research and innovation, software engineering, domain knowledge, design and user research.In the Press:SoleCultures page of Wadhwani AI -ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESDocumentation Creation: Write, edit, and maintain comprehensive documentation for IndiaAI mission, including user guides, documentation, technical manuals, and release notes.Collaboration: Work closely with government stakeholders, product managers, and other subject matter experts to gather information and ensure accurate and thorough documentation.Content Management: Organize and manage documentation with the ministry\'s communication and content management agencies, ensuring it is accessible, up-to-date, and easy to navigate.Quality Assurance: Review and edit content created by other team members or subject matter experts to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to company standards.REQUIREMENTSBachelor\'s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field. Equivalent experience may be considered.Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in technical writing or a related field, preferably within the [industry, e.g., software, hardware, engineering] sector.Strong writing and editing skills, with a focus on clarity, conciseness, and accuracy.Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences.Proficiency with documentation tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Word, MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Confluence, etc.).Experience with content management systems and version control (e.g., Git, SharePoint).Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
