Job Description

As our Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining high-quality documentation and content for our gaming products and services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including game designers, developers, artists, and quality assurance, to produce clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation for various gaming products, including user manuals, installation guides, release notes, API documentation, and technical specifications.

2. Collaborate with subject matter experts and cross-functional teams to gather information and ensure technical accuracy of documentation.

3. Translate complex technical concepts into easily understandable and engaging content for both technical and non-technical audiences.

4. Organize and structure documentation to provide intuitive navigation and quick access to relevant information.

5. Ensure consistency and adherence to documentation standards, style guides, and brand guidelines.

6. Conduct thorough research to gather information about new technologies, tools, and industry trends to enhance the quality of documentation.

7. Review and edit existing documentation for clarity, accuracy, and adherence to standards.

8. Participate in the testing and validation of game features to gain a deep understanding of the products and effectively communicate their functionalities.

9. Collaborate with the localization team to provide translated versions of documentation for international audiences.

10. Stay updated with industry best practices and emerging trends in technical writing and gaming to continuously improve documentation processes.

Requirements

1. Bachelor\'s degree in English, Technical Communication, Computer Science, or a related field.

2. Proven 5 years\' experience as a Technical Writer, preferably in the gaming industry or software development.

3. Passion for gaming and an understanding of different gaming genres and platforms.

4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.

5. Proficiency in using authoring tools, such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, or similar software.

6. Familiarity with markup languages, such as XML, HTML, Git or Markdown.

7. Solid understanding of documentation development life cycle, including planning, writing, editing, and publishing.

8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

9. Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality documentation.
