Job description

As IT Software services, you will have to support our IT solutions and projects for our customers.

You will be part of the Service Business Line and support our Industrial Technique Divisions Motor Vehicle Industry (MVI) and General Industry (GI).

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated software technician who can support the installation and configuration of complex production systems and who is able to provide a profound technical analysis of the installed solutions in case of malfunction & Contract Support. We expect the capability of dealing with production critical systems in industrial environments, understanding the links between the customer\'s production processes and the associated IT products and solutions.

Roles and responsibilities

• During the project phase:

• Integration of new software solutions into existing technical customer environments
• System installation- and configuration
• Handling of change requests
• Testing and validation
• Problem analysis und elimination of errors
• Customer trainings
• Supporting customer staff in pilot phases and while ramping up the production

• During the maintenance phase additionally:

• Ongoing remote or onsite production support
• Follow up on IT incidents
• Shift support
• Reconfiguration and modification
• Software updates

• Leadership Skill Requirements:

• Software team handling
• Competency Development of Team
• Strong Communication skill & ability to communicate between product company, customer centers & customers
• Accountability of order execution with operational excellence
• Support sales team for Service level Agreement finalization
• Support for successful project executions with Automation task related to Software
• Strong collaboration with product sales team for new projects.

Experience requirements

• Server and workstation administration on Windows and UNIX, preferably including cluster technologies.
• Installation and troubleshooting of hardware platforms
• Network technology and data communications
• ORACLE and Microsoft SQL Server installation and administration
• Webserver installation, management, and troubleshooting: Apache, IIS \xe2\x80\xa6
• Good command of spoken and written English is mandatory, other local languages are a \xe2\x80\x9cplus\xe2\x80\x9d
• Basic knowledge in industrial automation, fieldbus technique and PLC programming are desirable
• Experience with software programming and scripting languages are of advantage
• Minimum 5+ year of experience in desire field.

Educational requirements

• BE/B.Tech in Information Technology/Electronics & communication or equivalent.
• Certificate courses in software & database will be added advantages.
• System administrator similar with a profound professional experience in the IT area.
