Role Description: Deutsche Bank is moving from an on-prem multi-session virtual desktop environment to one hosted in the Cloud, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). The Engineer (Image Management Specialist) is accountable for the building, installation, maintenance and error handling and analysis of all images for the Bank s AVD services. Accurate documentation of images and content as well as reporting of statistics and changes is mandatory. Collaboration with Testing and User Management is vital.


Availability on weekends or after hours could be required sometimes.



Key Responsibilities:

Image building: Building various kinds of images for all test- and production environments. Prioritization of components and urgencies in line with the given timelines and in case of emergency.

Image installation: Install and/or verify (in case of automation) each image according to the objectives.

Maintenance: Administer the images and their usage for each and every environment. Accountable for analyzing and utilizing the Cross- and Load tests.

Error handling: Take immediate action in case of any errors/incidents/problems which may appear as soon as they arise. Recommendation regarding new build, repair (fix) or rollback

Documentation and Reporting: Accurate documentation of the images and their components. Timely reporting of any issues and potential issues. Close QA.

Automation: Assist in developing automation. Identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations for optimization.



Skills and experience

Proven experience in image building. Minimum five years

Awareness of impact in a global, partially customer facing user environment

Analytical thinking in case of error handling

Experience with scripting tools (e.g. Powershell)

Experience in automation of processes and continuous process improvement (CPI)

Communication and presentation skills (English/German language), sometimes customer facing

Ability to work collaboratively in a global and cross-functional team

Sense of criticality



Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science, or a related field with adequate experience

Familiar with JIRA

Advanced experience and deep knowledge in scripting (e.g.: Powershell)



(1.) To provide support for on call escalations and doing root cause analysis of given issue (2.) To independently resolve tickets within agreed SLA of ticket volume and time (3.) To adhere to quality standards, regulatory requirements and company policies (4.) Work on value adding activities such Knowledge base update and management, Training freshers, coaching analysts (5.) To ensure positive customer experience and CSAT through First Call Resolution and minimum rejected resolutions or Reopen Cases
