Working as part of a support team Candidate Should have Linux knowledge, basic Shell Scripting, and python knowledge.
Candidate who has Service now knowledge and MySQL basic knowledge will be preferred.
Provide level 2 platform support for Extenda Retail Suite with key focus on deployment activities via profuse automated system for managing , maintenance , software delivery and environment provisioning tool.
Work with level 3 platform support and developers to implement a shift-left approach, increasing the percentage of incidents that are resolved in level 2.Support 2nd line activities related to
(1) Tills Management (2) Admin PC (3) POS Servers Management (4) CMDB Management (5) EFT -PED & EIP (6) Extenda CentralOffice management etc.
Troubleshoot applications and forward incidents and defects to L3 platform team where appropriate.
Ready to work in 24*7 Shift.
Act as the conduit between service desk [called SD henceforth] and level 3 platform support / developers.
Update and maintain knowledge base [KB] based on the incidents resolved and ensures that knowledge base is up to date.
Participation in store opening and closer activities.Retail POS domain experience as preferred candidates.
Upskill to -Automate and optimize standard tasks e.g. daily health check of POS Servers etc by using Ansible and Python
Create workflows package pushing , using templates and scripts.Upgrade and installation of VMs/physical machines (includes DC virtual machines, store level devices - tills/PCs/servers)
Cross train to support other Fujitsu retail offerings when necessary / appropriate.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand technical change requirements and objectives.
Develop comprehensive implementation plans outlining tasks, timelines, and resources required for successful execution.
Coordinate with stakeholders to communicate change initiatives, and address concerns or challenges.
Monitor implementation progress, identify risks or issues, and proactively resolve them to minimize impact on operations.
Provide support and guidance to technical teams during change implementation, troubleshooting issues as needed.
Document change processes, outcomes, and lessons learned for future reference and continuous improvement.
Conduct post-implementation reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of changes and identify areas for refinement.With the demonstration of the right attitude and skillset will grow into the role of a L3 Platform Engineer as and when appropriate.
