Storage tower is part of Distributed Infrastructure & Data Services - DI&DS tower (Global Infrastructure) and provides 7x24x365 management and support for American Express\xe2\x80\x99 enterprise Storage services. This role reports to \xe2\x80\x9cEngineering Director \xe2\x80\x93 Storage Services\xe2\x80\x9d, and is primarily responsible to manage, drive & report on critical projects delivering automation capabilities. This role requires flexible schedule and working with resources across the globe.Purpose of the Role:
The PM role will coordinate technical requirements, drive SDLC stages, coordinate deliverables & resources, drive testing/release management, and ensure timely delivery of automation projects within Storage Infrastructure tower for efficiency & customer experience. The Storage infrastructure team manages the delivery lifecycle of infrastructure builds, configuration, capacity planning, monitoring, and provisioning services to fulfil data capacity demands of enterprise application teams. The automation is extensively used for delivering daily operations, embedding self-service, self-healing and programmatic interfaces, including deployment, upgrades, administration of Storage infrastructure, compliance, availability, and cost-effective data storage solutions.Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate projects across leadership teams for unified view. Drive critical project engagements, publish status reports, and provide project updates in timely fashion.
  • Partner with various teams and stakeholders to drive project governance & Operational readiness.
  • Delivers the Storage automation initiatives to support the strategy and road map. Drives project delivery processes, demonstrating thought leadership, coupled with domain knowledge and technical savvy.
  • Works with the Automation Product Owners (APOs to develop a prioritized feature backlog. Support product owners by ensuring backlog refinement and readiness.
  • Understand team\xe2\x80\x99s technical platforms and applications. Facilitate solution technical alignment discussions.
  • Ensure though testing through various phases (Dev, QA, UAT) and facilitate release management for error-free production deployment of code & capabilities for customers. Drive proper communication & change management.
  • Facilitates project planning, review & update meetings along with automation developer resources. Ensures dependency alignment across initiatives. Collaborates with Automation Product Owners (APOs) to coordinate cross-initiative dependencies.
  • Provides regular leadership updates on progress, raises impediments, handles risks, dependencies, and resourcing needs.
  • Present Automation Scorecards as \xe2\x80\x9cOutcomes & Benefits\xe2\x80\x9d with data-driven insights into the project delivery and execution using relevant metrics.
  • Manage complete SDLC phases of automation deployment, and drive CI/CD pipeline for software release. Use Agile methodology for faster & efficient code development.
  • Ensure bug-free & best practices-based software solutions that are built using standard reference architecture, robust & resilient product designs, code development, testing & release management in Production.
  • Execute Service delivery for projects to improve availability, reduce costs and enhance customer experience. Knowledge of ITIL based Storage Infrastructure support processes, including incident, problem, and change management is required.
  • Note: Schedule may be a non-standard work week to ensure 24x7 coverage and work with extended teams across the globe.
Experience:
  • Around 8 - 10 years of proven Software project management, delivery & release management. Knowledge of SDLC, AGILE tools/ methodology, CI/CD pipeline management, Rest APIs framework, and hands-on development experience with React/Node, Python, FLASK, Django, RDBMS is required. Preference given to candidates with experience of Infrastructure Automation delivery.
  • At-least 5 years of technical project delivery experience with a demonstrated track record of growing responsibility. Experience in facilitating Agile, Scrum, or other rapid application development teams to deliver technology solutions on time, on budget, and to spec. Experience with design and coding across one or more platforms and languages.
  • Understanding of \xe2\x80\x9cFull Stack Software Development\xe2\x80\x9d tools is a requirement that includes front-end software tools, including React/Node, backend Scripting, and good experience working with RDBMS like - SQL*Server, MySQL, PostGres DB.
  • Additional weightage will be given for knowledge of PowerShell, and tools such as - .NET, IIS, HTML/PHP & BASH scripting.
  • Preference given to candidates with good knowledge and understanding of Storage Technology landscape of industry products, in context of Dis-aggregated Storage & Software-defined Storage, Scale-out SAN / NAS / Object and Backup products.
Academic Background:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or other technical discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred.
