As a Token ID Technology Product Engineer, you will technically lead the product live state and the lifecycle offerings engagement, focusing on motivating change thru continuous improvement of the product lines related to application architecture, systems architecture, containerization and process automation. This role is for a strong technical leader who works with multi-functional teams spanning multiple product and technology subject areas. Successful candidates will be highly adaptable, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills and effectively run multiple work streams.

This is a hybrid role within Visa\'s Token ID Technology organization, based in Bangalore and directly collaborating and reporting to the teams Sr. Manager (who is based in Europe).

The successful candidate will be:

• A member of a team of Technology Product and Production Engineers (within the Production Engineering and Support framework)
• A technical person(s) who will dive into Token ID products entirely and will assist in any technical details.
• A product technology point of contact for our application services and all the associated configuration items and able to provide or acquire all vital information required for this role and exercises (delegated) authority in leading and coordinating deployment services.
• Participate, support the planning phase and lead the Release cycle up to and including Production.
• Provide technical leadership with detailed understanding of the solutions configuration and integration.
• Drive the implementation by working with globally distributed teams to resolve priorities, plan and schedule new builds and releases.
• Drive improvement opportunities collaborators related to product engineering practices, namely, release management, configuration management, release engineering, and security management.
• Provide problem resolution support, specific to product related issues, coordinating with engineering teams to resolve symptoms and ensure accurate root cause analysis.
• Maintain technical product processes, procedures, quality standards, and status of service delivery for all product related activities. Proposes and drives improvements.
• Technically leads project and delivery teams to achieve breakthroughs and objectives, at distributed locations.
• Actively collaborate with product and business partners.
• Provides product authority level support for internal clients and product owners, implements product configuration and drives technical discussions and suggest solutions (in an on-call rotation roster)
• Translate business requirements and solution designs into technical use cases, in order to setup and maintain the product in a live state.
• Responsible for ensuring, supporting and, also, coordinating Security Assessments, Pen testing and other Security lanes within the product and release scope: ensure execution, testing and remediation.
• Has shared responsibility with Software Engineering Managers in the Product Maintenance, branch management and it\'s hygiene: JIRA project administration, Release creation, release checklist, release notes, etc
• Ensure timely release deliveries and notes, with the vital skills to validate, deploy and solve on-Premise or and on SaaS release issues.
• Creates and maintains vital product engineering related documentation.
• Acts as the Application Technical Contact (ATC) or as a delegate for Token ID products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Actively participate in release planning, change control, reviews while leading risks thoughtfully and resolving challenges that impact release scope, quality, and schedules.
• Lead Qualys and VVMS remediation and patching for protecting Production environment from cyber attacks.
• Collaborates with various partner\'s day in and out for successful release to production.
• Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution
• Champion developing automation for release management
• Collaborating across global business and technology organizations, providing sound analysis and change leadership. Building and maintaining strong internal customer relationships is essential as this position will work with Business Partners, internal staff and system integrators every day to ensure quality assurance is performed in alignment with global initiatives and requirements across the enterprise.
• Provide comprehensive consultation to team members regarding long and short range release delivery requirements and recommend innovations which anticipate the future directions of both business and information technology.
• Provide governance and technical guidance on software components registered for release vehicles. Need to have detail understanding of web applications, database, and infrastructure and configuration management to provide risk analysis on release provided to product team on business decisions.
• Drive implementation of tested product changes, coordinate and plan new product builds and releases.
• Technically leads product improvement opportunities with senior partners ensure products environment reliability, resilience and security.
• Provides technical resolution support, specific to product issues, identifies, resolves and coordinates partners to determine accurate problem definitions.
• Maintains direct knowledge of all product technical processes and the status of vital release activities. Proposes product improvements and innovation.
• Develop and maintain a high degree of system knowledge of the products.
• Be an agent of change, adopting new and innovative technology.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualification

• 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor\'s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience with a keen focus on program, project and release management and engineering
• Experience in Deployment management, both Production and Non-Production Systems in a multi-site global organization
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, including an ability to comprehend and convey sophisticated technical information
• Proactive, innovative, collaborative, and driven to achieve results
• Understanding of SDLC, agile and waterfall frameworks
• Experience with environment build-out, prep, installs, configuration, integration, maintenance and issue solving.
• Confidence in working with SCM tools (GIT, JIRA, WIKI, JENKINS)
• Understanding of SaaS Operational model concepts: SLI, SLO, SLA, Latency, Disaster Recovery, OpenAPI/Swagger, API Gateway, Retention, Active-Active, Data Protection, Subnets, TLS, SAML, Web Proxy, Failover, Replication, Encryption, DB Schema, CDN, WAF, etc.
• Understanding of high-availability networking load-balanced solutions, n-tier application environments and common application protocols
• Understanding of cloud designs and potential work-around scenarios to mitigate client impact
• Understanding of Microservice architecture
• Experience designing, deploying and working with containerized platforms (Kubernetes)
• Security Remediation processes (vulnerability assessment and patch management)
• Understanding of release management particularly CI/CD pipelines, branching strategies and test automation.
• Must have strong understanding & experience in application monitoring techniques and Centralized Log Management tools.
• Understanding of (applied) cryptography and exposure to HSM nCipher and/or payShield integrations
• Proven track record on risk management decisions balancing a low tolerance for risk with the need to deliver complex business solutions
• Good interpersonal and language skills: Fluent in English (written and verbal) to a business level - written and oral, Active listening, seeking to understand other views, communicating at the appropriate level for the audience
• Self-motivated, objective and result oriented individual with the ability to handle numerous work streams concurrently. High levels of integrity and business ethics
• Strong partner management and personal influencing skills
• Nice to have: Understanding of tokenization solutions, online ecommerce, payment processing, or financial systems.
