They guide us in everything we do and reflect how we behave internally and in our relationships with our stakeholders.Project Management Competence at GECIA (Global Engineering Centre, India), part of Atlas Copco, is contributing significantly to vision of the Group by focusing on developing global talent, expanding portfolio and competence on futuristic competencies, driving Innovation and achieving operational excellence to drive.As a Technical Leader your mission is to improve and sustain the quality of services offering and lead Turnkey Complex projects and Proposals in Project Management-CC Atlas Copco GECIA Competence, where in on-time Delivery & First Time Right Approach is necessary.You will handle complex Turnkey projects for Design and detail engineering of Customer centers, interact with Team leaders within competence and customers, vendors, site execution team and present & discuss the proposed design/ideas for turnkey solutions and competence development. You will act as product process & Auxiliary systems expert in Project Management-CC Atlas Copco GECIA competence.Your main tasks would be, participating in all engineering phases of high complexity projects, while improving Project Realization of our products & Auxiliary Systems and driving the Solution-centric approach of the team. Design reviews of executed project by the team, competence development of the team, communication with all internal and external stakeholders. Improve, maintain, and develop the team to take more challenges to become preferred solution partner in Customer Centers. It will be your challenge to further develop & expand the scope of activities while working as a good Technical Leader.You should be technology focused, product & Auxiliary Systems focused, customer focused, people focused. You will report to the Business Line Manager.Key responsibilities:To process Customer Centre orders, You will ensure that Drawing, design & detailed engineering activities for Proposals and Project orders are executed properly in respect of contractual specifications, with on time delivery and first time approach & expected costs from the time of order handover from sales -application department until handover to customer following site erection and commissioning1. Project Planning SupportBased on complexity of project attend KOM and define project deliverables, key milestones, and assist project plan to Team Leader. Understand scope, boundaries of the project against contract/PO/ proposal; Define the work to be carried out by vendors; understand competencies and skill sets required for the project; interact with Team leader and share the final project plan to delivery it on-time and first time right.Regular update of Project wise Drawing and design status in Project online platformMaintain detailed project files and applicable records in common server -Sharepoint & Project Online platform.2. Project Execution:Monitor work activities, deliverables, adherence to the SOPs, resolve technical queries raised by cross functional teams with respect to project execution; guide cross functional teams to resolve interdependent issues, monitor progress against the time estimate and raise overruns to Team Leader; Provide inputs to the team leader to update the SOPs and on trainings required for the team, to deliver the project within the defined time and cost. Follow-up with supplier & factory for inputs related to project Layout and Drawings3. Internal and External reporting:Discuss updates, raise red flags and unresolved issues with the team Leader and Service Delivery Head during project review meetings: update the project plan based on situation and seek sign off from the Service Delivery Head; Provide status update of in hand projects to the customer weekly; communicate deliverables to the stakeholder on achievement of key milestones.4. Design Review:Conduct Design review of high complexity Turnkey projects, monitor and control quality checks of deliverables with respect product, process and PLM and provide feedback to the team. Understand Compressed Air system applications and be able to provide Pre-Calculation, Pipe Size Selection ,3D Model drawings, calculations of equipment\'s correctly, discuss quality scores with the Team leader, Business Line Manager, and Project Team. Define improvement methods, procedures, systems and provide the training required for competence development. Conduct bimonthly reviewer internal audit for quality sustenance of the competence.5. Inspection Activity Support:To plan the Coordination of the inspection activity with factory, supplier, customer & TPI (Third party inspection agency)To support and plan the team members to participate in Site Acceptance Test (SAT) & Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) along with client at factory and vendors premises., provide compliance to customer/ inspection agency on non-conformance & obtain Inspection release note required to dispatch the material. Travel to customer premises or sub-vendor locations as required to ensure smooth execution of project if required.6. Site execution support:Ensure that the concern team / project engineer visit the site to ensure the actual installation inline with the technical documents/drawings.Ensure that the team exchanges the proper detailed information with aftermarket team and coordinate where required to ensure safe and smooth start-up & commissioning.To succeed, you will need-Knowledge

  • Sound knowledge and experience on Screw , centrifugal, reciprocating compressors, pumps, Rotating Machinery and Dryers preferred.
  • Sound knowledge and experience on ancillary like- vessels, cooling towers, ventilation fans, heat exchangers, Energy recovery systems
  • Sound Knowledge of Electrical Equipment drawings (HTMCC, VFD, Control Panel, Distribution Board, Cabling etc) & Instrumentation & Control drawings/documents (PLC, Field instruments, UPS, Communications between Equipment to PLC/DCS, I/O list, JB, cable schedules etc)
  • Able to create, read & understand P&ID, GA, Layouts, Installation, System architect etc
  • Working knowledge of Autocad, MS office.
  • Good Command ( Verbal & Written) of English is must
  • Strong Technical & commercial knowledge of Engineered rotatory equipment.
  • Able to work under pressure & plan & organize effectively with the right sense of urgency.
  • Able to work on multiple projects by giving due importance to each project.
  • Working knowledge of ATEX/CCOE/ASME/API/TEMA/IEC/IS/DIN and other important Codes.
  • Knowledge of MS projects will be an added advantage
Education: Dipolma in Mechanical (DME) / Btech / B.E. in MechanicalExperience: 15 + years\' experienceRequired Skills

AutoCAD Mechanical, AutoCAD Plant 3D.MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
