:Domain: TCF Process PlanningDesignation: Technical LeadEducation/Qualification: BE/BTech (Any)Experience: 6-8 YearsJob Location: Sanand, GujaratResponsibilities:Contribution to projectsEvaluate vehicle engineering from manufacturing point of view and apply PDCA for flawless launch of the productKey actions and decisions (Long term and Short term)Will do CAD data analysis of released or pr -release designs by vehicle engineering and provide feedback from manufacturing feasibility point of view and for critical product issuesWill perform assembly feasibility simulations using process validation tools like DELMIA V5 in the area of design for assembly, operator ergonomics, plant layout etc.Will team up with Product development, Manufacturing Planning and Service teams to provide technical solutions for product issues in field and in processWill interact with customer service, designers and concern suppliers for early involvement, capture possible product issues, historical customer complaints, walk home failures, liaise with quality improvement teams for root cause analysis & resolution.Will carry out comprehensive analysis of process issues and production problems by doing DFA (Design for Assembly), DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Testing) activities at various stages of product developmentWill carry out extensive benchmarking activities for capturing new learnings and understand latest trends in product development & manufacturingWill study and evaluate current vehicle technology trends in automotive industry like Electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles etc.Will plan and execute Meeting with designers, Supplier Visits, 3P programs for CFT, Workshops for DFM/DFA/DFT activities and Workshops for Teardown and Benchmarking activitiesNature of problems faced/ Scope of improvement opportunitiesIdentifying possible issues in vehicle design right from styling phase to FDJ from manufacturing point of view and timely resolution of the same to achieve target of flawless launchSingle point of contact for cross functional coordination to achieve project level target at different project milestones.Improving product designCAD data analysis of released or pre-release designs by vehicle engineering and provide feedback from manufacturing feasibility point of view and for critical product issuesPerform assembly feasibility simulations using process validation tools like DELMIA V5 in the area of design for assembly, operator ergonomics, plant layout etc.Team up with Product development, technical services and FMQ teams to provide technical solutions for product issues in fieldCarry out comprehensive analysis of process issues and production problems by doing DFA (Design for Assembly), DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFT (Design for Testing) activities at various stages of product developmentCarry out extensive benchmarking activities for capturing new learnings and understand latest trends in product development & manufacturingStudy and evaluate current vehicle technology trends in automotive industry like Electric vehicles, hybrid vehicles etc.Will plan and execute Meeting with designers, Supplier Visits, 3P programs for CFT, Workshops for DFM/DFA/DFT activitiesCommunication ERC1.Provide ERCs (list of prioritized issues) to be resolved in the new product and receive communication/ update on the same. Inputs and participation in DMU meetings/ aggregate reviews/aggregate concept selection.2.Provide plant constraints and TGR/TGW file as a part of base design criteria as targets. Ensure potential issues identification through various manufacturing simulations on released data.3.Discuss potential issues identified in design review with ERC and track for resolution. 4.Participate in proto activities to confirm digital evaluation on physical vehicleProduct Line1.Ensure robust product d envelopment by following Tool kick off guidelines.2.Discussing and Escalating key open issues for resolution and sign-offSupplier Quality1.Provide key inputs to supplier on reoccurrence of historic issues and key process guidelines. 2.Interact with suppliers during tech review and ensure quality requirements are met. 3.Participate in tool Provide key inputs to supplier on reoccurrence of historic issues and key process guidelines.4.Interact with suppliers during tech review and ensure quality requirements are met. 5.Participate in tool kick off signoffs & CTQ cascade loops for HIHR parts to be produced at Supplier end ensuring robust development processTechnical Services1.Ensure potential process failure modes addressed in process design for new product.2.Participate in house tool kick off sign-off/ tool try-outs at manufacturer\'s end and HLTO parts.3.Discussing and Escalating key open issues for resolutionFMQ1.Provide and get approval to list of fixtures/ gauges needed at vendors.2.Participate in DMUs and provide inputs on potential failures and jointly analyze mounting locating strategy of parts and assemblies to ensure design robustness.3.Participate in key craftsmanship evaluation events like ECUBE & BLUE buckSkills:TCF Process Planning, DMU, PLM, Trims-Chassis-FinalAbout Company:#ComeJoinUs in #EngineeringABetterWorld.
