Summary:
The Senior Specialist SAP ABAP Developer - Manufacturing Focused (hereafter Senior Specialist SAP ABAP Developer) will be responsible for design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of Development objects for Hollisters SAP environment. These objects include, but are not limited to: SAP ABAP Programs, function modules, forms, data dictionary items. This position calls for a very good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming with experience in at least one Object Oriented language. The Senior Specialist SAP ABAP Developer will also be responsible for designing and developing SAP solutions using newer SAP technologies like SAP S4/Hana (ABAP 7.4/7.5 & ABAP on HANA), Fiori, UI5, SAP Build, Pro-Code, RAP (RESTful Application Programming), CDS Views (Core-Data Services), OData, RF Transactions, ITS Mobile, Adobe Forms, Web Services and RFCs Transactions.
Additionally, the associate will be called upon to work with Project Managers, Process Leads and other people in the process organization to discuss development requests / requirements.
Senior Application Developer also has the following competencies:

Conducts comprehensive research to identify the most suitable SAP solution for the prevailing business challenge, proposing an optimal resolution that aligns with both Hollister and SAP standards, with a focus on balancing cost and benefit considerations.

Defines SAP coding standards and best practices tailored to the unique requirements of the Hollister environment.

Identifies & recommends new processes, methods, or technologies to meet business/technical needs.

Fully competent in the principles and practices

Mentors on subject matters related to principles and practices of their given field.

Demonstrates advanced analytic problem-solving abilities.

Demonstrates awareness of current technological trends, especially within their specific discipline.

1.
Partners with the Business, the Business Analysts (BA) and/or the BRM (Business Relationship Manager)

Brainstorms solution options working closely with the BA brining optimal technical approaches in SAP. Partners with the BA, working together resolving business problems and identifying appropriate required documentation, data and logic.

Consults with the BA when additional information is needed as solutions are implemented.
2.
Effectively partners with other IT Groups to deliver IT Services.

Works closely with project managers both within the IT Project Management Office (PMO) and the business.

Estimates work packages in effort and duration identifying training, travel and resource requirements to adequately deliver a set of business requirements.

Reporting timekeeping accordingly per Planview timekeeping requirements.

Works within international business teams and is able to participate in project meetings with international colleagues. Flexible work hours to meet international timelines.

Collaborates with team members on various technology initiatives.

Assists BAs Project Managers and technology teams with Release planning, system compliance and governance.

4.
Development Work

Creation and modification of development objects based on design specifications and development standards.

Participate in projects (i.e. Global SAP roll outs, process improvements, etc.)

Perform unit testing and participate in integration testing of development objects

Design work

Identifies SAP best practices, technologies and tools thatll meet the given set of requirements in compliance with Hollister development standards, Architectural guidelines, and system landscape.

Creation of technical specifications based on functional requirements provided by the process organization.

Work with Business Analysts to assist in requirements gathering and design.

Recommends new processes, methods or technologies to meet business/technical needs.

Diagnose and resolve application related issues.

Provide technical support for Business Analysts.

Admin

Retain and enhance skills and knowledge in the area of SAP Development.

Make recommendations regarding new technologies and their uses to management.

Essential Functions of the Role**:

Talk on the phone with Hollister associates, globally.

Read technical manuals / trade journals / internet blogs and articles.

Use a personal computer and strong proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Visio

Work Experience Requirements

Number of Overall Years Necessary: 8-12

Minimum of 7 years of SAP ABAP experience with a Bachelors degree, or 11 years of experience with a high school diploma. Demonstrated significant global project success
Education Requirements

BS/BA Computer Science or equivalent related field of study preferred

Or MS/MTech in Computer Science or equivalent field of study
Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:
Minimum 7 Years:
Hands-on experience working in a dynamic environment:

In Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales OR In an Enterprise with multiple global locations, integrating with multiple enterprise systems and applications.

Developing SAP programs, or updating existing programs, by researching technical / programmatic / SAP extension options, reviewing functional specifications, and deciding on the best technical approach based on technical best practices while keeping the SAP Core-Clean.

Programming in SAP with proper error handling and logging while advancing these frameworks aligned to the evolving needs

Debugging and troubleshooting any SAP programs effectively and with speed

Defines SAP coding standards and best practices tailored to the overall enterprise

Minimum 2-3 years:

SAP ME/MII Developer (At least 3 years of experience with SAP ME/MII Technical Development)

Hands-on experience in custom developing SAP ME using SAP ME SDK including SAPMEINT

Hands-on experience in developing CSS, Java Script, JSON, OData, SAP UI5/HTML5 on SAP MII
Minimum 1-2 Years:
