JOB DESCRIPTION Primary Objective of Position: This role is responsible to coordinate with Software development and Project development team, make sure to deliver a quality solution to customer on various automation projects using products of Emerson Automation Solutions. Job Responsibilities: Manage and support to develop distributed, highly available & scalable Oil and Gas Process device diagnostic suite using the inhouse web base solution. Functional Leader in various applications for Oil and Gas Measurement systems domain. Coordinate activities between software development and project development team Architect, Design, and Lead generation of end-to-end automation solutions Provide peer checking function on the output of other team members to ensure technical accuracy Maintain design intent, interpret client specifications accepted engineering practices and code requirements to facilitate accurate translation into technical output and monitor technical output of the project for compliance accordingly. To liaise with team on technical issues and project matters Provide technical support to the team to assist with the generation of desired technical output Ensuring that the system is comprehensively tested prior to delivering to customer. Quickly learn new domain and collaborate with other stakeholders to develop and conceive right automation solution using Emerson products and deliver on time. Maintain consistent communications with internal and external customers, seek constant feedback and drive continuous improvement to meet and exceed customer expectations Work closely and keep updated on progress to all stakeholders Pro-actively identify and manage risk and mitigation. Ability to multi-task and be able to prioritize and balance many activities and adjust quickly in a dynamic environment. Willingness to work flexible hours that works best with the local and remote engineering center(s). Keep skills current with new software development methodologies Excellent communication skills in both oral and written, and with a strong desire to work in a cross-cultural team. Accountability of project from sales handover to delivery of newly developed solution. Scheduling activities and align with internal stake holders to meet the deadlines. Technical Skills: Experienced in Process automation domain. Domain Knowledge in Oil and Gas industry: Familiar with design and implementation of Computer and Software Systems (configuration & Programming) and /or Control systems/instrumentation design & build experience Preferred working knowledge of one or more of the following: Emerson, Omni, FlowX, EXI, Honeywell (DCS/ Meter suite), PLC. Working knowledge on IIoT Strategy, standards, and protocols. Must have hands on knowledge on different Industrial Control systems with Server-Client and redundant architectures. Experience with software requirement analysis and capturing software requirement specification. Strong analysis and problem-solving skills,self-directed, detail oriented, creative problem solver. Familiarity with reverse engineering existing code, reusing previously developed source code. Familiarity with communication protocol - RS232, Modbus, MQTT, EthernetIP.
