Young and dynamic, we have a rich culture and we offer fulfilling careers.TITLE: ETL EngineerREPORTING TO: GSC IT Reporting LeadWORKING LOCATION: India (Bangalore or Chennai)OVERALL OBJECTIVES:Eurofins is currently strengthening its IT Reporting team, which is responsible for controlling governance and operational data, producing and maintaining reports utilized by several IT departments (IT Quality Assurance, IT Service Management, IT Risk & Compliance, Information Security, IT Infrastructure, Fixed & Intangible Assets). The data encompasses the performance of IT Services, compliance of IT Assets, licensing, cloud capacity, and security posture of the IT environment as a whole.The role of the ETL Engineer is to analyse requirements, source data, orchestrate data transformation, and then maintain and support (level 3) data pipelines, in close collaboration with BI Analysts in the same team. We are currently seeking candidates with medium-level competencies to join our team. • Analyses approved requirements from stakeholders (across IT and business functions).
• Works with domain experts and data/app owners to extract and transform data.
• Implements reusable business logic/transformation bricks.
• Designs, creates, orchestrates, and maintains data pipelines.
• Assesses and ensures data quality.
• Deploys data pipelines to production.
• Documents the data dictionary and data pipelines/business rules.
• Implements data ACLs.
• Participates in the Agile SCRUM development process.
• Provides L2/L3 support for investigating and resolving ETL incidents and data quality issues.

REQUIRED PROFILE: Personal Skills:

• Data design, modelling, transformation, orchestration.
• Excellent communication skills (in English, both orally and in writing, including moderating meetings).
• Comfortable with distant and international communications through various technologies (ticketing tool, documents and forums, phone, instant messaging, email), Microsoft End User computing tools.

Type and duration of previous experience:

• 6+ years of experience as a data engineer/expert.
• Strong expertise with SQL (MS SQL is a plus).
• Previous experience with IT Infrastructure (system engineer) is a plus.
• Experience in DataOps and/or Agile/SCRUM is a plus.

Technical knowledge:

• Row-level security.
• SQL (MS SQL).
• Python, PowerShell: is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree or diploma.

Additional InformationLanguage skills and expected level:

• Fluent English required.
