:Area of Responsibility This position is responsible for establishing, planning and running the engineering sub system meetings to ensure appropriate cross functional representation and input from all relevant areas. You will have responsibility for: Ensure pr ogression of design maturity from initial concept through to Engineering Sign-Off\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xafand design gateways. Establishing and maintain t he team work plan aligned to vehicle program. Ensure system, sub-system and components meet cost and weight targets. Ensure Regu latory compliance of system, sub-system and components. Define appropriate engineering targets to meet function, quality and attr ibute requirements for the Vehicle Program. Develop and maintain the design validation plan (DVP) including both in-house and supp lier testing plan and ensure development signoff tests are completed on schedule. Troubleshoot and resolve all Validation issues. Develop System Design Specifications incorporating engineering standards, test procedures\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xafand material specifications. Lead Fail ure Mode Avoidance activities including DFMEA, quality history reviews and DFA/DFM reviews. Ensuring all relevant documentation me ets ISO & quality standards. Lead the resolution of design, attribute or packaging incompatibilities through the appropriate\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xafcross -functional meetings. Management of Supplier (s) to ensure system/component delivery to vehicle programme timing and attribute tar gets.\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xaf Support Purchasing team in Sourcing and RFQ activities including the creation of ESOWs, CAD SOWs, PDSs and ESIs. Support vehicle launch and pre-production builds (both virtual and physical). Ensuring the effective application of APQP to manage system/ component delivery. Ensure delivery of PSW, through planning from project start to sign off. Follow and deliver company goals an d strategies. Ensure system, sub-system and components meets DVA, Optical and Perceived\xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xc2\xafQuality targets. Knowledge/Experience \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xe2\x80\x9c1 0 + Years Essential: Proven project management capability demonstrated by recent delivery in line with time, cost, quality & att ribute targets. Proven and extensive experience in right first time development and integration of at least one of the following \xc3\xa2\xe2\x82\xac\xe2\x80\x9c Main body structures, underbody, floor, firewall (bulkhead) dimensional analysis, weld path and tooling access etc. Knowledge of composites and new technologies where possible. Detailed Engineering knowledge of design, function, performance, production & manufa cturing requirements. Ability to manage and challenge system, sub-system and component costs through utilisation of engineering kn owledge and decision-making process. Excellent communication skills, with demonstrable ability of communicating and influencing at all levels. Evidence of leading commodity delivery and co-ordination of Manufacturing, CAE & Validation Teams. PC Literacy: Mi crosoft Project, Power Point, Excel, Word etc. CAD Literacy: Ability to generate CAD data and Master sections in CATIA V5 is advan tageous but not essential. Teamcenter experience is necessary. Significant experience in use of engineering tools - FMEA, Six Sig ma, Agile or Scrum. Successful history of multi vehicle delivery within the automotive sector.
