• Manage direct reports across multiple Scrum teams and time zones
• Support and develop software engineers by providing advice and mentoring
• Coach team members on agile principles
• Work smart and understand how your solutions affect the goals of the business
• Implement best practices for coding as well as development processes
• Participate in an agile team - including design, development, test automation, planning, backlog refinement and support
• Support the strategic vision for the product and company
• Lead and refine development and release processes for multiple products
• Deliver our needs around high availability and high transactional throughput of a SaaS solution
• Be Customer and Partner Facing, able to manage an external relationship
• Be introspective, always trying to improve yourself and the team around you
• Provide guidance on design and technical solutions

What You\'ll Need to be SuccessfulBachelor/master's degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent engineering degree in related fieldMinimum of 10+ years of experience in a software development role, shipping complex applications to large scale production environments.Strong experience in designing, building and delivering scalable distributed systems.Exposure to Cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud - at least one of them).Working knowledge to build CI/CD pipeline (GitLab, Terraform).Experience in working in Agile team.Good understanding of data structures and algorithmsStrong track record of working with third partiesStrong relationship building skillsExperience of creating CI/CD pipelinesExperience in optimizing and scaling productsUnderstanding of security protocols and best practicesUnderstanding of AWS Solutions with focus on cost savings and scalabilityExperience working with JIRA and ConfluenceWillingness to dive in and get to the bottom of a problemOutstanding problem solving and debugging skillsStrong understanding of object-oriented design & development and common design patternsWorking knowledge of and DB, SQL or NO-SQLWorking knowledge of Entity FrameworkWorking knowledge of Web ServicesAbout the TeamELR, Payments & Financing: Dig into our cloud native Avalara product suite.
