Joining us means joining a truly global community of more than 75 000 people dedicated to solving real-world mobility challenges and achieving international projects with sustainable local impact.JOB PURPOSE:Reporting to the Business Process Solution Head of Engineering TechOps, you will be in involved in the design, development and maintenance on a wide breath of Alstom internal applications in the Engineering, Electrical and Simulation domains. You will act as a control tower to ensure overall consistency on its applicative landscape and help maintain our internal applications. Architectural knowledge, Java and C++ development experience, Windows & Linux knowledge are all a mustRoles and Responsibilities:

• Contribute to all phases of the application lifecycle from definition, architecture, design through implementation, debugging, testing and early support
• Provide technical and domain expertise on complex topics
• Participate in requirements gathering and specifications creation
• Lead technical design and architecture
• Maintain technical solution referential & design documentation
• Support operations teams with regards to critical and complex incidents
• Support a wide list of internal Alstom applications
• Control quality of partners deliverables
• Develop, change and improve processes
• Build best practices on development activities and continuous improvement
• Define IT roadmap and lead technical POC

Educational Requirements

• Graduated with an engineering degree in information technology

Work experienceMore than 4 years of experience developing applicationsCompetencies

• You have worked for global companies either as a service provider or as a customer, ideally both roles
• You have good knowledge on IT infrastructure systems: server, database, network, storage
• You have good experience designing application architecture
• You have good expertise developing Java and C++ base applications
• You have good knowledge on scripting for Windows and Linux
• You have knowledge on the creation of interfaces between applications
• You have experience with DevOps and Gitlab
• You are eager to learn new complex applications
• You demonstrate good communication, efficiency and ability to execute. You are result oriented and show intellectual curiosity and creativity.
• You have a very strong leadership and are business value oriented.
• Fluent in English, you are eager to work with autonomy in an international environment and to face the challenges of the new Alstom
