Sapiens Digital team is developing Sapiens' next generation of insurance online services, enabling insurance companies to accelerate their digital services to customers and agents. The Digital team is focused on developing online capabilities for insurance companies on any platform, mobile, and web covering a wide range of self-service, commerce solutions aimed at optimizing the customers' experience during engagements with their insurance companies & agents via digital channels.

Role:




Technical Team Lead :




As part of the Sapiens Digital R&D group, you will work within a small and elite team, a startup like group within Sapiens, you will own the architecture and design and implementation of a new digital product. Having overall responsibility for building the core capabilities of the new product while participate in hands on coding 80% of your time. In addition, as a Tech lead will mentor other team members with up-to-date technology and engineering best practices.

Responsibilities:




Be the Full-Stack Team Lead for a Low Code / No Code Application, which is widely used by customers


Play a vital role in product design to ensure scalability, reliability and performance are met


Designing and developing new features as well as maintaining existing features by adding improvements and fixing defects in complex areas.


Assisting in troubleshooting complex technical problems in development and production


Collaborating with stakeholders (Product managers, Engineering teams, UX) to evaluate trade-offs between design, risk, and technology


Mentoring fellow engineers; Provide technical guidance while driving decisions; leading teams to solve challenging programming and design problems.


Implementing methodologies, processes & tools


Ability to meet aggressive timelines and motivate the team to meet the product deadlines.


Responsible for code design, code review, quality and implementation per Sapiens standards.




Requirements:


Team leadership experience - mandatory


Great team player, innovator at heart with an excellent interpersonal skill who is passionate about technology, have a strong interest in the latest technologies - mandatory.


B.Tech/B.Sc. in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Mathematics or equivalent


More than 10+ years of hands-on experience with software development - mandatory


Experience and passion for modern JS full stack web development technologies, methodologies, and techniques - React /Vue.js Redux /Node.js, Webpack / Vite, MUI, Moustache, Jest / Jasmine


Mocha, CSS Modules / Styled Components, etc. - mandatory


Wide knowledge of REST API•,• design best practices - mandatory


Open source technologies and frameworks


Public cloud experience (Amazon, Azure, Google) - mandatory


Previous SW architecture experience - mandatory


Knowledge in modern architectural methods and patterns such as Microservice Architecture, Cloud Computing and Containers (Kubernetes, Docker) - mandatory


In depth understanding of various technology trends and the ability to present their potential impact - advantage


Knowledge of operating systems and platforms such as Windows, Linux, iOS, Android - an advantage


Knowledge of Test Automation Frameworks- advantage


Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals


Experience working in an Agile environment preferred


Good written and spoken communication skills


Fluent English, excellent communication skills


Open and willing to travel when needed.
