Under broad direction, provides input on technical direction of domain Technology for both short term (
1 year) and mid-term (
2 years) projects. Works closely with Product Management and the architect to design, research, and develop new applications and major enhancements. Considers security requirements in new product / technology design and development. Provides technical guidance to developers, testers, and support staff in product planning. May be the gatekeeper for areas of the architecture and/or application and may communicate and educate others about the technology. Experience in leading software development projects and will provide Technical Excellence Leadership. Mentors junior team members. Skills typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Science or Engineering or similar discipline, and 13-20 years of related experience or through 15 years of software development experience.
