We are looking for a team member specializing in Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) with expertise in conducting trainings, audits, safety walk-downs, and incident investigations. The role involves developing functional SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), monitoring and publishing SHE performance for functions and sites, facilitating closure of safety actions, and conducting risk assessments while ensuring compliance tracking.Roles & Responsibilities

  • You will be responsible for designing and facilitating the implementation of safety management systems for Formulation Business Unit, including functional SOPs.
  • You will engage with line management on safety aspects, facilitate improvements, conduct safety assessment for new activities before permit provision, participate as a PHA (Process Hazard Analysis) team member and tracking the implementation of recommendations.
  • You will be responsible for SHE Performance Management, including safety KPI (Key Process Indicators) definition and monitoring, analyzing the trend for performance tracking at zone and site levels, and publishing these reports.
  • You will also be responsible for identifying all safety actions, tracking their closure, conducting audit for EMS (Environmental Management System), and tracking compliance.
  • You will support the business unit SHE head, identify risks at site, and run the risk register update and monitoring mechanism.
  • You will be responsible for the review and update of the Emergency Preparedness Plan, conducting mock drills, and providing training as per the plan.
  • You will create focus on SHE compliance line items for monitoring and review in consultation with the SHE head.
  • You will be responsible for developing the annual EHS trainings plan in consultation with line managers, and executing the training program with internal/external resources for employees and contractors.
  • You will create employee safety awareness and engagement models with a bottom-up approach, and plan and lead the first and second party audit.
  • You will be responsible for providing guidance for effective Occupational Health Center (OHC) operations in consultation with the in-charge and service provider, supporting annual health camos for employees and contractors, and supporting vaccination programs.
QualificationsEducational qualification: A graduate in sciences or technology/ B. Tech/ PDISMMinimum work experience: 2-5 years in the field of SHE.Skills & attributes:Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in designing and delivering effective training programs related to SHE practices.
  • Expertise in conducting audits to assess compliance with SHE standards, and the ability to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ability to monitor and evaluate the performance of SHE initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge of environmental and occupational health principles, demonstrating an understanding of the impact of workplace conditions on employees\' health and the environment.
  • Proficiency in investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, with the ability to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Strong documentation skills to maintain accurate records related to SHE initiatives, incident reports, and compliance documentation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of statutory requirements related to SHE, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
