We are looking for a candidate to oversee packing operations, managing equipment, packing validation, handling change controls, deviations, incidents, and ensuring compliance with regulatory audits. Responsibilities include creating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure), providing training, and applying expertise.Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for executing the production targets of the packing as per the packing plan.
  • To implement and follow the policies and procedures for efficient functioning of the machines.
  • Responsible for strict adherence to entry and exit procedure as per respective SOP's.
  • Responsible for strict adherence to the standard operating procedures and cGMP.
  • Responsible for implementation online documentation (Batch packing record, MES entries, logbook entries).
  • To execute the batch packing activity as per the instruction of e-BPR and workflow in Rockwell software as part of manufacturing execution system.
  • Responsible for batch coding, serialization of the product as per respective SOP's.
  • Responsible for supervising the packing (Vial, bottle and blister) line as per production plan.
  • Responsible for implementing the productivity improvement measures.
  • Responsible for guiding of sub-ordinates and new joinees.
  • To ensure the discipline is maintained at the shop floor.
  • Responsible for co-ordination with supporting departments for smooth production operation.
  • Responsible for production SAP related transactions.
  • Responsible for setup, operation and cleaning, line clearance, maintenance, of machines as per the operating instructions and standard cleaning procedures.
  • Responsible for carrying out the in-process checks as per the instructions in the batch production record.
  • To perform reconciliation of the product as per respective SOP or batch packing record.
  • Responsible for performing the change overs.
  • Responsible for dispensing of packing materials, packing lines as per production plan.
  • Responsible for manpower management and scheduling.
  • Responsible for meeting the daily production schedule.
  • Responsible for implementation of simplification in packing areas.
  • Responsible for audit preparation.
  • Responsible for maintaining all the parameters in Safety, Quality and productivity.
QualificationsEducational qualification: A Diploma or Bsc degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum work experience: 2-6 years of experience in pharmaceutical packing operations (Vial, bottle and blister) and packing validationSkills & attributes:Technical Skills
  • Expertise in line operations, especially in packing activities like Secondary packing and Track and Trace.
  • Proficiency in understanding equipment such Labelling machine, Autocartonator, Serialization etc.
  • Understanding of Packing Validation for Oral Solid Product and Injectables cleaning procedures.
  • Knowledge for evaluation of change control, deviation, incident, out of specification, out of trend, and risk management.
  • Experience in preparing production process SOPs and batch records.
  • Understanding and application of basic processes, Lean, OEE, and similar KPIs.
  • Hands-on experience in regulatory audits, particularly with agencies like the US FDA.

  • Capacity to provide training on good manufacturing practices and other relevant areas.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges in packing processes.
  • Exhibits a keen attention to detail in handling complex packing activities, ensuring precision and accuracy.

  • Efficiently manages time to meet production schedules and deadlines without compromising quality.
  • Displays a willingness to stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies, contributing to ongoing professional development.
  • Knowledge of working in regulatory environment like USFDA, MHRA, TGA.
  • Should have good understanding of cGM, cGDP, and good laboratories practice.
  • Must have hands-on experience in sophisticated manufacturing machine and equipment.
  • Effective communication and training skills for user departments and service providers.
