Position Purpose

Team Member - Capital Purchase is responsible for developing procurement strategy and its successful execution & have exposure of Capital Equipment Procurement & Contractor finalization for Project & Revenue Job so as to leverage best-in-class suppliers, Services, processes and products to enable a competitive advantage
Strategic Responsibilities
------------------------------


• Drive strategic sourcing initiatives and implement key purchase / procurement strategies, contingency plans for all indirect material for production, maintenance and repairs
• Service Contract Finalization for Project & Revenue
• Develop strategic partnerships with vendors
• Provide support in assessing supplier quality and develop parameters for choosing the right suppliers Ensure cost e?ective purchases of materials by executing a robust cost optimization strategy
Operational Responsibilities
--------------------------------


• Maximize annual rate contracts of indirect purchases so as to reduce number of transactions Identify higher consumption items and converting them in long term contracts
• Spend analysis and detailed Commodity study for indirect purchases - Spares and services Benchmarking and Implementing best practices in procurement, contract management, Vendor consolidation and vendor management
• Reduce the use of non-strategic suppliers, and move the procurement activities upstream in the lifecycle of a solution
• Inventory management - Vendor Managed inventory IT initiatives related to procurement
• Alternate supplier development; including import substitution, OEM supplies Value engineering - alternate materials in collaboration with Engineering team Evaluation & implementation of energy savings initiatives
• Contracting - Project, Capex, Opex & Logistics spend
• Performance & SLA monitoring of Supplier & Service provider & driving initiatives to improve performance Process reengineering - Opex, Logistics & Warehousing

• Drive cost savings as Strategic sourcing initiatives

• Regular interaction with plant commercial team
• Facilitate initiatives for training need, identification and building requisite skills & competencies through systematic training & skill-up gradation initiatives for the team
• Actively drive, in conjunction with the Senior Management Team, the performance management process of the team
• Inspire & motivate employees through demonstrated commitment to PI's values, vision & mission and active participation in various team engagement activities
Education Qualification
---------------------------


• B.Tech/B.E. - Mechanical/ Chemical
• PG - MBA/PGDM Graduate (Supply Chain/ Operations)
Work Experience
-------------------


• 10-15 years of experience in Strategic sourcing, Indirect Material procurement, Revenue Purchase, Supply Chain
Industry to be Hired from
-----------------------------


• Preferable chemical/ Pharma industry
Functional Competencies
---------------------------


• Excellent Knowledge of Strategic sourcing
• Excellent Knowledge of Procurement Processes (demand forecasting processes, vendor empanelment & management, rates negotiations, vendor performance management)
• Good Knowledge of Indirect materials / services forecasting, budgeting and procurement processes and procedures (for example, marketing spends, HR spends, IT, facilities, capital goods)
