Job Requirements
Position title Team Manager/Manager - EV-Auto Electric
Reports to Group Manager
Location Chennai
Job Purpose Responsible for Design and Development of Two wheeler Electro mechanical switches, Electronics switches and Advanced Haptic switches.
Key Responsibilities
- To do detailed requirements analysis of switch requirements by considering application
- Providing various switch development solutions to meet the technology advancement
- Having in depth knowledge on A-surface to engineering conversion, Key pad switches,
- various micro switch , Carbon contacts.
- Having in depth knowledge on Ladder circuit design ,PCB interface ,LED illumination,
- Having very good knowledge on Switch development with IP 67 requirements with tight
- tolerance and doing stack-up analysis.
- Having very good knowledge on surface model creation using CREO and working at vehicle
- level packaging interfacing for switch packaging.
- Having in depth knowledge on LIN, CAN interface.
- Feasibility checks on styling sketches in early stage of project development, feedback
- design requirements to styling team.
- Discuss with the different teams and define the interface requirement clearly.
- Layout and packaging of parts in vehicle DMU from concept stage and finalize considering
- Conduct DR, FMEA (system/ design) and apply all such tools in the design phase.
- Define performance and reliability test parameters, procedures for switches.
- Keep track of global trends in relevant technology, regulations and develop long
Work Experience
Education Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering Experience
- Benchmarking and generation of ideas for better performance, quality, cost, weight.
- Root cause analysis for quality issues using QC tools and countermeasure action.
- Define the overall activity schedule for all projects, monitor the same periodically and take
- Thorough in basic theories and design concepts for automotive switches.
- Knowledge about automotive industry standards and regulations, applicable globally.
- Product lifecycle management system.
- Knowledge in ISO/ ECE/FMVSS/AIS standards for design,
- environment, information security and functional safety.
- contact materials used for automotive switches and their selection criteria.
- Exposure to PCB designing, will be preferred.
