Working with us means working with the latest technologies and groundbreaking, sustainable innovations.Join us on our journey for a better tomorrow.Your roleAs a Team Leader - Technical Documentation (AIB), your mission is to guide & develop a strong team to support the Instruction Books preparation projects, by providing high quality services in technical writing field.
Your role involves managing and coordinating efforts to achieve effective communication, maintain high-quality documentation, and foster seamless collaboration within the team.Responsibilities:Lead and manage the technical documentation team, overseeing the creation of product instruction manuals.

  • Provide clear direction, guidance, and support to the team of technical writers. This includes fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment, assigning tasks, setting goals, and monitoring progress.
  • Establish review process to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Provide constructive feedback after review.
  • Responsible for supporting all ongoing product development projects to ensure that the content is reviewed grammatically, writing rules are followed and the structure of the document is consistent.
  • Help technical writers for use of style guides and writing rules.
  • Understand the project requirements and work content, based on the inputs received.
  • Communicate progress and deliverable updates to the stakeholders, raise red flags and highlight any concerns to all stakeholders.

  • Maintain a positive team moral with an open atmosphere of teamwork and co-operation.
  • Guide team members on technical/project matters.
  • To develop team for the current and future challenges and opportunities.
  • Discuss updates, red flags and unresolved issues with SDH.
  • Make mid-course corrections to project plan and seek sign off from the SDH
  • Conduct regular team meetings and meeting with SDH to achieve vision and enhance customer experience.
  • Develop dashboards and monitoring system to analyse the progress of competence development.
  • Participate in various meetings like community of governance, technical council, PTM to understand the current and future expectations and prepare the team to fulfil those expectations.
  • Act as an effective change agent to implement the new systems and technologies.
  • Establish the good relationship with all stakeholders, technical authors from GECIA, other product companies, members of council and communities for the constructive teamwork.
  • Contribute to GECIA level projects like Skill Matrix and CMM (Competency maturity Model)
  • Introduce and implement the efficiency improvement and automation projects
  • Lead the divisional / BA level projects to integrate the systems
To succeed, you will needSkills and experience
  • Bachelor\'s/Master\'s degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 10-15 years of Experience in technical documentation.
  • Outstanding skills in writing about complex technical and business subjects to a variety of audiences.
  • High proficiency in using the offline/digital technical authoring tools and software, including all Microsoft tools.
  • Data analytics, POWER BI knowledge would be an added advantage.
  • Strong technical background and understanding of engineering principles, mechanical systems, and technical terminology.
  • Excellent people management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team toward achieving goals.
  • Proven experience of technical editing/writing in a similar role.
  • Ability to be self-directed and effective working independently, yet equally comfortable contributing in a global team environment.
  • Ability to interact with different business groups and scope documentation assignments.
  • Precise documentation and clear communication skills.
  • Fluency in written / verbal English.
  • Affinity for technology and a proven experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS).
  • Content management system implementation experience is an advantage.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
