Job Description

To provide safety and security to the guests employees and hotel property To conduct fire fighting, security awareness, security consciousness and other related security classes to the staff of the hotel. To collect major information and intelligence reports. To deal with all guest complaints of the Hotel and staff complaints in co-ordination with the HR dept. staff. To train and monitor the performance of the guards and the valet drivers. To investigate and keep the security manager informed of any untoward incidents or accidents. To investigate, interrogate staff, report writing and document all guest complaints received and report to the security manager. To conduct regular patrolling and identify security/fire hazards and other lapses in systems, processes and product which might lead to breaches in Security. To inform, put in preventive measures or eleminate depending on the situation. To check all the fire detection and extinguishing equipment in the hotel and ensure their working condition at all times. To document the same and circulate to the concerned HOD and the General Manager for information and rectification. . To check and document the record keys maintained by the housekeeping dept., front office and the room service depts.. All lapses to be recorded and preventive measures suggested. To brief the guards before commencement of each shift. To be present at the Porch during busy hours, control traffic, ensure safe parking and retrieval of cars from the Parking areas in and around the Hotel. To ensure safety of cars parked in the premises and other parking areas outsidethe hotel. To maintain the shift officer\'s log book and write down about major incidents / messages. To follow up the pending jobs left by the previous shift officer. To plan staffing and deployment during VIP movements and during major banquet functions To co-ordinate with Police and give special attention for the VIPs who are staying at the hotel . To give a sense of security and safety to the guests and the employees To be aware and have thorough knowledge on the Process of handling all emergencies in the hotels and ensure that all emergencies are handled effectively and lead to saving of life and prevent loss of property. To ensure all duty rosters for Officer, Guards get done on time. To monitor the movement of all material out of the hotel and ensure they go out on valid gate passes. To maintain written documentation and records of all gate passes. To record the receipt of all returnable gate passes, make the necessary documentation and send out monthly reportsfor the same when not returned as per their due dates. To assist the security manager in the smooth functioning and efficient operations of the security department. To liaison with Police, Passport and Transport and Government Officials. Monitoring of T.B.E.M processes. Implementing & monitoring ISO 14001 - Environmental Management System, EMPs & O&Ts, OCPs and training of staff. Enabling and adherence of the principles and work practices detailed under HACCP System in the department viz., Food Safety, Hygiene and Cleanliness, Health, Storage etc as applicable to the area of your work place
