Lead team of experienced Real time software developers and test engineers. Collaborate with Real Time Software Global Engineering Manager to define team\xe2\x80\x99s activities and ensure development meeting expectations of execution and quality. Work out Software architecture and test strategy. Maintain backlog and provide detailed definition of tasks and acceptance thereof. Establish processes to ensure code quality. Participate in code reviews and create a quality culture. Ensure that software adheres to coding standards and meet stringent performance and safety requirements of real time embedded system. Estimate the costs, resources and time required for development projects. Analyze issues reported from integration/field testing (including production code) and provide required guidance to team to identify resolution in short time. Responsible to ensure system and software development projects are on-track by actively managing the engineering team and proactively adjust the plans during development. Present project and improvement initiative status to management. Coordinate with internal requirements teams (hardware, systems) and derive software requirements. Drive continuous improvement initiatives for products and processes. Administer team member performance reviews, goal setting, and participate in salary planning. Responsible to define the required talent in the team (competency, knowledge, and skills), define gaps and define plans to close gaps.Required Qualifications: Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in electrical, Mechanical, Agricultural, Systems or Mechatronics Engineering. Minimum 10 years of leadership experience demonstrated through project, engineering and / or resource management. Minimum 10 years of firmware development (C language/Assembly), debugging. Experience building Firmware software solution catered for ECUs (preferably for automotive grade ECUs). Resource management experience with the ability to delegate responsibilities and to match assignments/tasks to skill sets, experience, and capacity. Experience in driving change, improvement, and organizational development. Demonstrated leadership qualities in building successful teams of minimum 10 members. Previous program management & Agile experience highly desired. Strong experience of microcontrollers (16/32-bit automotive grade), compilers/linkers. Experience with CAN based protocols such as J1939, XCP, KWP, UDS, communication tools Vector CANalayser, CANape, CANoe, INCA or similar. Experience working with memories (Flash, EEPROM, RAM, External memories), MMU etc. Proficient at software design and requirements documentation. Travel up to 10%, domestically and internationally.Preferred Qualifications: Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering or Ph.D. Hands-on experience with Off-Road, Commercial Vehicle or Automotive products. Experience working with real time operating system RTOS (Autosar OSEK or similar). Knowledge of configuration management tools such as SVN or similar, requirements tools (e.g., Polarion or similar). Knowledge of Autosar concepts and experience working with AUTOSAR based MCAL device driver configuration and integration. Knowledge of Functional Safety concepts and software implementation in accordance with ISO25119, ISO19014/ISO13849, ISO26262. Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and implementation. Experience with Precision Farming and Machine automation.
