- Team Leader - QualityAlfa Laval India is looking for a dynamic Team Leader- Quality to support and maintain the develop Quality management systems and processes according to relevant standards, legal requirements, Alfa Laval standard/specifications and customer requirements.Responsible for the inspection of all in-house manufactured / Subcontract components to meet the quality requirement as per drawings, standards, and quality systems. in line with our priorities safety, quality, delivery and cost.Work in co-relation with the manufacturing team for getting the best quality of parts, zero complaints & minimum rework/rejection.He is directly responsible for product and equipment quality & compliance.   • Responsible for product & equipment Quality including setup approval (FPI), In-process inspection, final Inspection/testing as per drawing, standard, QAP and Quality documentation/ compliances in component unit.
  • Perform product and process validation as per the above standard and implement the proactive measure
  • Well familiar with calibration and handling of precision / various measurement methods eg. CMM, Surface finish tester, Hardness tester etc.
  • knowledge of GD & T and surface treatment process and their testing methods
  • Troubleshooter - Problem analysis & resolution by using various tools/ techniques
  • Coordination with other departments like manufacturing /Production support/Sourcing and Identify potential risks & pressure points so that Quality standards are not compromised within the factory
  • Ensure all relevant procedures are described in the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure compliance. Eg AL production system / ISO9001 / ISO45001 / Food / PED etc.
  • Facilitate and initiate continuous improvement activities and safeguard the quality and necessary documentation
  • Handling of Internal - External Customer claims/ Quality issues.
Expectations & Responsibilities:
  • Align overall targets and KPIs to factory goals
  • Ability to inspect components, assembly & testing, Process audit as per drawing/QAP/Roote card/ manual and AL specification (Plan Vs Actual)
  • Reading & writing SOPs.
  • Ability to communicate deviation and suggestions upward and lateral with superiors and peers..
  • Analyze process deviations and facilitate root cause analysis and solutions via suppliers supported by support functions
  • Maintain the product & Equipment traceability as per Customer / R & D requirements.
  • Monthly updation of factory KPIs for Safety for Near Miss, injuries and follow-up.
  • Knowledge of direct contact / In direct contact measurement methods and destructive & Non-destructive testing methods
  • By own presence drive performance by mapping & coatching /developing competence of TMEs

Process knowledge:Sheet metal cutting, Pressing, Assembly processes, Flow thinking (Lean) , packaging, and Metallurgical, Calibration of measuring gauges and equipment's.Qualifications & experience:
  • BE mechanical or production or equivalent experience
  • 7 + years of experience in quality function.
  • Experience in dealing with customers and suppliers
  • Experience with improvement tools, e g 5S, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM
