Description POSITION NAME: Team Leader, Packaging DIVISION OR CORPORATE FUNCTION: Corporate REVISION DATE: LOCATION: India, Molex Technical Centre REPORTS TO: Manager, Global Logistics Packaging SUPERVISES: N/A CONTACTS: Internal: Global Logistics Team, Global supply chain COE, Global Engineering, Global Procurement, Product Managers, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Finance, Global Pricing, Manufacturing Plant, Supply Chain Hub etc. External: Suppliers, Forwarders, Customers etc. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Support on Continues Improvement projects, Data analysis, NPD packaging validation, Define policies, standards, Power Bi Dashboadrd creation etc. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Operation Excellence projects: 1. Proactively identify and quantify improvement opportunities by working together with quality, production and supply chain team to develop and implement the continuous improvement plans. 2. Set up Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for all continuous projects using dashboard. Projects can be : a. Packaging Data Management b. Volumetric Efficiency improvement c. Order Pattern d. Standardization/Policy e. Etc.. Packaging improvement and Freight claim process: 1. Working with respective SCH and Mfg Plant on Packaging improvement. 2. If Packaging damage cause by forwarder mishandling, then initiate the forwarder claim process. 3. Develop and Lead the freight claim team. 4. Strong data analytics skill. Able to do reporting, identify the packaging issue. 5. Maintain packaging damage database globally. 6. Communicate to respective stockholder on project status. Analytics: 1. Predictive analysis and intimate the issues proactively. 2. Simple macro creation in Excel. 3. Upgrade the knowledge on analytics tools. 4. Maintain report accuracy in every stage. Support Packaging Design a. Collaboratively work with engineering team to define the right packaging design. b. Create/Maintain standard and packaging polices. c. Understand NPD process and work with Product Mangers to collect the required information\'s and ensure product GO TO MARKET on time. d. NPD packaging validation. e. Maintain design dashboard. f. Keeps abreast of industry and government regulations that affect packaging materials, material handling, recycling, etc. SCOPE: Global EDUCATION: REQUIRED: . Degree or Diploma / Degree PREFERRED: . Major in Mechanical Engineering, Packaging technology WORK EXPERIENCE: REQUIRED: Min 4 to 5 years in Engineering Packaging and Logistics Packaging. such as Engineering Packaging and Supply Chain with demonstrated packaging development experience. PREFERRED: . Global multinational company . Electronics manufacturing company SKILLS & ABILITIES: REQUIRED: . Strong passion in Packaging . Strong people and Project Management skills . Able to work independently . Strong verbal and communications skills . Experience in packaging engineering, structure problem solving, use of statistical tools, electronics module component, cable product, medical devices etc . Train and experience in Lean and Six Sigma, or equivalent . Experience in Design for Manufacturing, FMEA, DOE and Validations will be advantages . Knowledge and understanding of packaging design validation standards (ISO, ASTM, ISTA, etc.) . Broad knowledge in Electronics packaging and packaging materials (Corrugated, Tray, Tube, Tape and reel, Terminal packaging, Foam, ESD, wooden crate, Pallet and etc.) . Knowledge of end to end Supply chain process (Packaging, Transportation, Warehouse, Stuffing and destuffing etc.) . Global Travelling 10 - 20% PREFERRED: . SAP users, Power BI, Packaging Design. . Knowledge in data analysis will be advantage. . Experience working with Asia, Europe, US/Mex country will be advantage . Any certification course in Packaging will be advantage.
