Join us!Global Business ServicesGlobal Business Services delivers Technology and Operations capabilities to Lines of Business and Staff Support Functions of Bank of America through a centrally managed, globally integrated delivery model and globally resilient operations.Global Business Services is recognized for flawless execution, sound risk management, operational resiliency, operational excellence and innovation.In India, we are present in five locations and operate as BA Continuum India Private Limited (BACI), a non-banking subsidiary of Bank of America Corporation and the operating company for India operations of Global Business Services.Process Overview*Global Financial Control India is the global delivery footprint of the banks Global Financial Control function within the CFO group and is responsible for multiple functions including U.S. and Regional Legal Entity Controllership, Regulatory Reporting, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Tax Accounting & Compliance, Operational Risk & Controls Oversight, Finance Change & Production Services and Data Management.*This role is for a testing /data analyst resource responsible for planning and execution of testing in support of the Global Finance delivery of programs/projects. It also includes engagement in activities like production data validation, data governance, master data management, metadata management, restatements, data sourcing/research, issue resolution.This role will work closely with the onshore business lead and/or product owner, end users (including upstream/downstream users), and technology.Responsibilities*1. Conduct thorough testing of financial regulatory reports to validate data accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, IT, and compliance, to understand reporting requirements and ensure testing aligns with regulatory guidelines.3. Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and testing strategies to assess the integrity of financial data used in regulatory reporting.4. Develop & execute test scripts, analyze results of testing -identify defects and solution for items out of tolerance5. Document and maintain detailed testing documentation, including test cases, test results, and issue resolution.6. Query (using SQL) various databases, compare to source data, identify differences & provide resolution7. Assist in metadata management work - Creation of Data Lineage, Data Dictionary, Business glossary, Ensure completion and ongoing maintenance of the Data Lineage for various data elements8. Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and reporting requirements to ensure testing processes remain current and effective.9. Continually identify process improvement opportunitiesRequirements*Education*Bachelors or post graduate degree in computer applicationCertification if any NAExperience Range*0-2 YearsFoundational skills*

  • Basic working knowledge of reporting, analysis, accounting, and various finance functions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of testing tools and methodologies, like knowledge of Agile tools (i.e., JIRA), and testing tools (i.e., HP Quality Center/ALM)
  • Proficient in the use of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to assimilate large amounts of information quickly and to understand complex methodologies and issues.
  • Highly motivated, able to work independently, self-starter; and problem/solving/analytical.
Technical Skill - Basic SQL:
  • Person should have hand-on experience in reading/writing different types of Select, Insert, Update & Delete Queries.
  • Person should have hand-on experience in reading/writing subqueries within a query.
  • Person should have hand-on experience in Select/Update/Delete Data, based on Business Conditions.
  • Able to Write/Understand INNER JOIN, LEFT JOIN, RIGHT JOIN.
Advance Excel:
  • Person should have hand-on experience with excel formulas/functions like IF, AND, OR, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEXMATCH & Nested If using one or combinations of above functions.
