Team Lead - Reference Data & AnalyticsRole ProfileThe Reference Data & Analytics team is part of the Benchmark and Indices (B&I) division. It is a customer focused, technology enabled team, producing High value & outstanding analytics & data derivations to drive insight and value to our internal and external partners. The team is responsible for crafting LSEG Intellectual Property by generating ICB Classifications, Free Float and similar data fields based on data standardization from raw data.For our team based in Bangalore, we are currently recruiting for a Team Lead - Reference Data & Analytics role and sits within the Index Data Management organisation. This role is a business critical role that has direct responsibility for the quality and accuracy of the FTSE Russell index products. The role has direct people management responsibilities in Bangalore and other locations. Team Lead is encouraged to possess very high attention to detail skills and who can work under strict delivery timelines. Besides people management, you are encouraged to become a subject matter authority on capital markets and their operations and information on companies and securities.Key Responsibilities

  • Leading role within the Data Analytics team including maintaining high morale, motivation within the team and ensuring that the individual team members deliver all objectives within the agreed deadlines to the required standard. Driving the training and development of the team to always achieve the best of the people.
  • Continually improve processes, ensuring that the team are fully supported and given the appropriate training and development.
  • Ensure that all documentation, procedures and processes are in place, and are reviewed and updated regularly. Key member of the governance processes within the Data Management team.
  • Responsible and accountable for all client related issues including the provision of timely and efficient client service. Strive for excellent Client Service.
  • Ensure the delivery of all client product files, to the highest standard, is maintained throughout the product range within the specified deadlines, including the management, support and delivery of the Custom Indexes.
  • Support FTSE Russell projects, providing key input into the project process, ensuring that there are no, or minimal, risks involved in the projects to the live environment.
  • The ability to work effectively with peers, data analysts, and manager - both within the team as well as other teams in multiple time zones
Candidate Profile / Key SkillsQUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE
  • It is encouraged that with limited supervision the individual will deliver each of the key objectives of the role identified above, working to strict deadlines and to the highest degree of accuracy. The individual should therefore have:
  • Education to degree level or equivalent financial qualification.
  • Demonstrated ability within the financial industry and at least two years of proven team leadership and management experience.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of global financial markets and products, incorporating indexes, is crucial.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and handle workloads effectively in a pressurized environment.
  • A consistent track record for achievement in delivering a high quality service.
