To support Energy Systems in achieving its strategic ambitions our Finance & Performance (F&P) function is set-up to enable our organization to become future proof and set-up for scale. The global F&P function consists of three teams: * The regional F&P function that supports the Advisory & Verification Region or a Global Business Unit

  • The Business Area F&P Centre of Expertise
  • The Global Contracting function
The F&P function aims to be a globally consistent organization, with specialized finance roles, reporting lines which are centralized within the regional finance organization and thereby increasing our financial competence. We are working to increase use of modern, up-to-date technology to support manual and time-consuming task and free up time to support growth and profitability initiatives. Furthermore, we have a global contracting function with specialized contract management roles and increased legal & contracting competence to support our business.

Since Energy Systems was launched last year, Finance & Performance has worked on aligning and documenting the project to invoice process, to enable us to provide project finance support to our organization in a consistent way. It is taking time to complete the rollouts of Oracle in DNV, and other system challenges are preventing us benefiting fully from the potential efficiencies of new tools and processes. At the same time, Energy Systems continues to grow. To strengthen the global Project Administration capacity, we will supplement the existing global Project Administration team in India by recruiting 11 additional staff including Head of Global Finance Project Administration and Team Lead.

The Team Lead Project Administration reports to the Head of Global Finance Project Administration. The global Project Administrator team delivers services to different regions/business units within Energy Systems, and the Team Lead will have to liaise with both internal and external customers in a timely and professional manner. The Team Lead will be responsible for implementing and enforcing policies and procedures to streamline the transactional activities in the project to invoice process, ensuring excellent service delivery of high quality invoices and focus on minimizing WIP days to maximize cashflow in the business.

Primary tasks of this role:
  • Performing daily operations/production related activities associated with Project Administration.
  • Build and continuously strengthen a high performing team of Project Administrators
  • Onboard and train new recruits in the DNV project to invoice processes
  • Stimulate a high performing culture, set direction, be output driven and act as a role model for an inspiring employee experience
  • Collaborate with Business Area Centre governance/Global Process Owner Project to Invoice to improve the relevant steps in the global Project-to-Invoice process
  • Implement and follow standardized global processes while complying with local regulations
  • Implement change in the transactional activities of the Project-to-Invoice processes (project set-up, project updates, invoicing and project closing activities), including global tools and methods
  • Quality assurance of the relevant steps in the processes in alignment with global governance
  • Review and provide guidance on project setup and administration including complicated projects
  • Advocate the use automation to further improve the process
  • Use relevant KPIs to monitor progress and effectiveness in handling the transactional tasks thereby minimizing Work In Progress (WIP)
  • Implement and clearly communicate relevant interfaces to stakeholders (e.g., PMs, Project Controllers, Business Controllers and Global Shared Services) supporting the effective handling of the teams work list
  • Be actively involved in resolving issues with Project Managers, Project Controllers, Business controllers and Global Shared Services teams
Position Qualifications
  • Bachelor or masters degree in business/Finance or equivalent
  • 2-3 years of relevant management experience and 5+ years of experience in a project administrator/billing role
  • Comfortable working as an Individual contributor in Production activities for around a year till the role matures and to be more familiar with the process and applications. From a long-term perspective the role will combine team handing activities with production.
  • Strong process and system understanding, good working knowledge of financial systems and tools, and affinity towards automation techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillsin English
  • Experience in interacting with international stakeholders, comfortable working as part of a global and multi-cultural team
  • Fully proficient in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
  • Comfortable working in 2 to 11pm shift with Hybrid working
