Job Description


Objectives of the Position

  • Implement crop system portfolio strategy in country, incl. business plans for new Products/ novel Innovations and technologies from global research, cross-regional LCM projects and drive regional crop strategies.
  • Successful launch of new innovations and project management (I, H, F, PGRs, Bio-stimulants, etc.)
  • Lead Portfolio and product pricing operation to maximize value creation, profitability and profit growth
  • Drive deep understanding of customer needs, evolving trends and identify new business opportunities
  • Steer country strategy growth projects for accelerated opportunities
  • (Optional) A senior core member of AP country leadership team
Main Tasks
  • Responsible for market intelligence and build market trends assumptions update in strategic market segments, including crop system acreage, competitor, industry environment, regulations, and AP\'s own strength and weakness to finetune our strategy
  • Successful launch of new innovations
  • Develop portfolio LTP plans, lead teams to generate global F&V and Rice crop system strategy implementation plans in country; and rotational crop plans to maximize R&D investment, periodically participate country strategic plan development
  • Lead connected offer in F&V and Rice crop systems, steer sustainability, digital and value chain innovation plans in country
  • Steer pricing and profitability governance; Prioritize resource investments
  • Lead to develop impactful and sustainable brands (eg Power brands) in the market, with effective deployment and utilization of Marketing opex for high impact brand building
  • Steer campaign management and lead effective marketing communication plans
  • (optional) Participate the Country Supply & Operational Planning meetings (S&OP); participate the budget process; contribute to country strategy development
  • Steer Go-to Market strategy implementation such as 3rd party collaboration including in-licensing and out-licensing, and business model innovation
  • Coach teams to develop the skills and competencies within the country communities and develop talents
Minimum Education and Qualification Required for the Position
  • 10 years of leadership experience in crop protection industry preferably in marketing and sales with proven track record
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to foster teamwork and collaboration
  • Solid understanding of crop protection or related agronomic technologies
  • Strong strategic thinking and familiar with marketing frameworks / tools.
  • University Degree in Agriculture/Crop Protection/Chemistry/Business Management, preferably with post-graduate degree
  • Fluent in English
