Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable teacher to educate students in the fields of biochemistry, microbiology, and genetics. Key Responsibilities:
• Curriculum Development: Design and implement an engaging curriculum that aligns with state standards and promotes critical thinking in biochemistry, microbiology, and genetics.
• Instruction: Deliver high-quality lessons using a variety of teaching methods, including lectures, lab experiments, and hands-on activities.
• Assessment: Develop and administer assessments to evaluate student understanding, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Lab Management: Oversee laboratory activities, ensuring safety protocols are followed and that students gain practical experience in scientific techniques.
• Student Support: Provide guidance and support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages collaboration and curiosity.
• Professional Development: Stay current with advancements in the fields of biochemistry, microbiology, and genetics through ongoing education and professional development opportunities.
• Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues in the science department to enhance interdisciplinary learning and share best practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• Teaching certification or license as required by the state.
• Experience teaching high school or college-level science courses, with a focus on biochemistry, microbiology, and genetics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students effectively.
• Familiarity with current educational technologies and lab equipment.
