Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 70,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwide Job Title : (TC&IS) System Engineer Purpose of the Job He/she defines the architecture and functionalities of a TC subsystem (Master Controller, Event Recorder, Signalling Interface, Energy Metering System, Badge Reader, Automatic Selective DOOR Opening (ASDO)) in compliance with the different requirements He/she ensures the integration into the train Ensure Requirement Specification & Supplier selection . Organisation Reporting Hierarchical: TC&IS System & Command Leader Functional: Train Control Engineer (TCE) Network & Links Train System Engineer (TSE) / Other Sub-System Engineers Interior Engineer TC&IS team RAMS Engineer /Validation Engineer Performance Measurement/KPI\'s Quality of his delivery (included sub-contractor delivery): Functional Change Request \'defects\' number raised 75% x(Functional Change Request number raised on previous project) Respect of the delivery planning (included sub-contractor delivery):100% on time delivery Level of application of standard Methodologies and Processes:100% Continuous improvement or Return on Experience (RoE) management from previous projects: 0 missing RoEs Responsibilities Accountable for : Delivering the subsystem documentation (Requirement Specification and Architecture Description RSAD, Technical Purchase Specification TPS, Interface Control Document (ICD). Responsible for : Defining and implementing the functional, performance, transverse and train level requirements of the dedicated subsystem. Integrating the subsystem into the train (mechanically and electrically) Defining the Interface (mechanical and electrical) for the dedicated subsystem. Verifying of the subsystem (focus on train level) including design reviews. Change and configuration management process for the subsystem on train level. Control of changes after design changes including impact analysis. Planning and follow up of all activities linked to the subsystem. Support sourcing, suppliers, PUs, S&A Engineers, Interior engineers, RAMS engineers, and validation engineers. Providing inputs to engineering team, sourcing, suppliers or PU Knowledge & Experience Experienced engineer (6+ years\' experience with the dedicated subsystem in rail business) Understanding of the system engineering process and mastering a system engineering methodology (e.g. SysML) Customer handling, Supplier management, Integration management ( mechnical & electrical ) on train, Testing and commissioning activities of system Fluent English Team size Not applicable Innovation Monitor specific market needs and innovations related to system engineering Alstom is the leading company in the mobility sector, solving the most interesting challenges for tomorrow\'s mobility.
