Location: Devprayag UttarakhandJob Summary:The TBM Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of tunnel construction projects using Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM). This role requires extensive experience in TBM operations, project management, and team leadership to ensure the successful delivery of tunnel projects within budget, on schedule, and to the required quality and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Project Planning and Coordination:

• Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for TBM operations.
• Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment and integration.
• Prepare and review method statements, risk assessments, and work permits related to TBM activities.

TBM Operations Management:

• Oversee TBM assembly, launch, and operation, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards.
• Monitor and manage TBM performance, including excavation rates, machine maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Ensure the timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment necessary for TBM operations.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team, including engineers, operators, mechanics, and support staff.
• Provide training and development opportunities to team members to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Foster a collaborative and safety-focused work environment.

Quality and Safety Assurance:

• Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure construction meets design and regulatory standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, promoting a culture of safety awareness and compliance.
• Manage incident investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.

Stakeholder Communication:

• Maintain effective communication with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
• Provide regular progress updates, reports, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
• Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during TBM operations.

Financial Management:

• Monitor project expenditures and ensure alignment with budgetary constraints.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement value engineering solutions where applicable.
• Manage subcontractor performance and payments, ensuring contractual obligations are met.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Masters degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in TBM tunneling projects, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of TBM operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH) is an advantage.

Work Environment:

• The role requires working on-site at construction locations, which may involve exposure to varying weather conditions and challenging environments.
• The position may require working extended hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet project deadlines.
