FINANCE | TAX
We're a team of specialists charged with managing the firm's worldwide taxes. We are responsible for tax compliance, financial reporting of taxes, tax planning, business advisory and management of taxing authority examinations. Our work contributes directly to the firm's success, and the division is ideal for creative and collaborative individuals who have strong ethics and attention to detail.
GS is looking for Associate in the Transaction Tax team who will manage GS's investment in private equity space from India tax perspective. Assist GS tax team with structuring transaction tax efficiently and review tax due-diligence reports of potential targets. Also assist in restructuring the corporate structure of GS, in order to achieve tax and regulatory efficiencies as well as achieve business objectives. This would involve working closely with tax colleagues in different regions and with the Business.


In this dynamic and fast-moving environment, you'll work on a variety of transactions under the private equity, credit and real estate sleeves ranging from acquisitions, disposals, mergers, de-mergers, joint ventures, refinancing or stock exchange transactions. Each will help you develop the skills and knowledge you need to develop your career.


:

• Assisting with the transformation of data and technology across the Transfer Pricing discipline within Tax liaising closely with the Financial Controllers and Engineering teams
• Supporting the day to day relationship with an outsource service provider in relation to Transfer Pricing Documentation and benchmarking
• Supporting the preparation of the US federal income tax return and contemporaneous transfer pricing documentation
• Supporting global controversy/audit responses to both tax authorities and financial regulators
Working closely with various businesses, controllers and other stakeholders on implementing and reviewing transfer pricing methodologies on a global basis

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years transfer pricing at a public accounting firm (Big 4 preferred) or large multinational
• Experience of data/technology transformation
• Strong written, analytical and technical skills
• Superior oral and communication skills
• Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external working relationships
Financial Services and international tax experience a plus
