IFF is a global leader in food, beverage, health, biosciences and sensorial experiences, and we are seeking a highly motivated and result-driven individual to join our India Shared Service Center team as Tax Manager - US Taxation.
We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant/ CPA with multiple years of US Tax experience (extensive knowledge of USGAAP and ASC 740).
Your Focus
As a Tax Manager - US Taxation, your primary responsibilities will include assisting in the preparation of the Company's worldwide quarterly and annual tax provisions and all aspects related to financial reporting (ASC 740), SOX controls and testing, as well as auditor review. This role will sit within the Tax Operations group but will also support leaders of Tax Compliance, Tax Operations and Tax Planning. This is an individual contributor`` role responsible for supporting processes.
The role will report to US Sr. Manager - Reporting
How you will contribute
• Assist with the preparation of consolidated income tax provision and related work papers, including Valuation Allowance, FIN48 as well as tax related disclosures for financial reporting.
• Coordinate collection and review of quarterly and annual foreign tax packages.
• Assist in the preparation of the Company's APB23 calculations.
• Assist with the quarterly and annual setup of the tax packages in OneSource Tax provision tool (OTP) and the overall maintenance of our online tracking system.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements and technology solutions in the company's provision operations.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and the tax team and support the creation of strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
• Maintain effective internal control procedures over all aspects of the tax process to ensure compliance with SOX guidelines.
• Responsible for managing the legal entity organizational chart including the gathering of information from regional team and updating the org. chart.
• Participate in other projects as necessary in support of M&A activities.
• Engage with and develop relationships with both internal and external tax resources.
• Responsible for managing a team of 1+ support staff.
### Job Requirements
What will you need to be successful
• CA/ CPA with at least 6 to 8 years of post-qualification experience
• ASC 740 US GAAP experience is a must.
• State US/International Tax experience preferred.
• International tax exposure (treaty interpretation etc.)
• Working knowledge with the OneSource Tax Provision Tool.
• Independent and reliable.
• Must be able to partially adapt to US working hours during certain periods of the years (Quarterly and annual provision).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Must adhere to strict deadlines.
