Department: Tax and AuditReports to: Tax Manager/Audit ManagerJob Type: Full-TimeJob Summary:We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Tax & Audit Associate to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, tax regulations, and auditing procedures. You will be responsible for assisting with tax compliance, preparing tax returns, conducting audits, and ensuring that our financial records meet regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:Tax Compliance:

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Assist in tax planning and research to optimize tax liabilities.

Audit Services:

• Participate in audit engagements, including planning, execution, and completion phases.
• Perform audit tests and procedures to verify financial information.
• Assess internal controls and identify areas of improvement.

Financial Reporting:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies.

Client Interaction:

• Communicate with clients to gather information and provide updates on tax and audit matters.
• Provide support and guidance to clients regarding tax and audit issues.
• Maintain strong client relationships through professional and responsive service.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Stay updated on changes in tax laws, accounting standards, and auditing regulations.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of audit and tax documentation for regulatory agencies.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other team members to ensure cohesive and efficient service delivery.
• Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues to enhance team performance.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to process improvements.

Qualifications:Education:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA certification is preferred.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Tax Associate, Audit Associate, or similar role.
• Experience with tax preparation software and audit tools.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of tax laws and auditing standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
