Job Description

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Tamil teacher to join our team and inspire our students in grades 8 and 9!

Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver engaging lesson plans that align with the Tamil curriculum for grades 8 and 9 (Tamil Nadu State Board).
• Foster a love for the Tamil language and literature in students.
• Develop students' reading comprehension, writing, grammar, and vocabulary skills.
• Incorporate technology effectively into lesson plans to enhance learning.
• Identify and address individual student needs through differentiated instruction.
• Maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment that encourages participation and critical thinking.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop a cohesive Tamil language program.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Tamil language or a related field (e.g., Education)
• Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) certification (or equivalent if applicable)
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in middle school (grades 6-8) preferred
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment
• Proficiency in using technology for teaching purposes
• Passion for the Tamil language and a desire to inspire students
