:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tailor to join our team. As a Tailor, you will be responsible for performing alterations and creating custom clothing according to customers\' preferences and specifications. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Alterations:
- Performing alterations on garments to ensure a perfect fit, including hemming, taking in or letting out seams, adjusting sleeves, etc.
- Repairing and replacing zippers, buttons, and other components as needed.
- Custom Clothing:
- Taking measurements and discussing design preferences with clients to create custom-made clothing items such as suits, dresses, shirts, and skirts.
- Interpreting design sketches or patterns and translating them into finished garments.
- Fittings and Adjustments:
- Conducting fittings with clients to assess fit and make necessary adjustments to garments.
- Ensuring garments are comfortable and flattering for the client.
- Quality Control:
- Inspecting finished garments to ensure they meet quality standards and customer expectations.
- Making any final adjustments or refinements to achieve a polished look.
- Maintaining Equipment and Workspace:
- Proven experience as a Tailor, Seamstress, or similar role.
- Proficiency in sewing, stitching, and garment construction techniques.
- Knowledge of different types of fabrics and their characteristics.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and fittings.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
- Creative flair and ability to interpret and execute design ideas.
- Keeping work area clean and organized.
- Maintaining and servicing sewing machines and other tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
