Job description:

• The position is based in India and is required to focus on delivery of the work, ensuring a robust design
• This role may report to the technology team lead based anywhere in Pune or New York or elsewhere
• Candidate should be able to work independently and should be self-motivated
• Candidate might be required to work with vendors or third parties in joint delivery teams
• The role requires application of technical skills and knowledge of the business to develop solutions to meet business needs
• As part of large, geographically distributed team(s), the candidate may have to manage stakeholders across multiple functional areas
• The position requires analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex material, technical or business or otherwise, from multiple sources

The candidate is expected to be technically strong in the required skills as listed below & should possess basic risk & finance domain knowledge. As a Tableau dashboard developer, you will use design and development standards, processes, and best practices. You will partner with data engineers and program managers to deliver advanced BI capabilities to a global customer base.

• Deliver medium to high complexity dashboard projects either individually or as part of a project team.
• Use design prototyping rigor and consultative best-practices with our partners.
• Develop solutions using agile principles
• Provide operational production support for the dashboards on Tableau Server

The successful candidate will have at least 7 years of proven technical experience leading business intelligence or data visualization projects.

• A strong data visualization portfolio demonstrating how you design to tackle customer needs.
• Experience with visualization software, preferably Tableau is required
• Knowledge of interactive data visualization best practices
• Experience leading design discovery meetings with end-users is preferred
• Solid experience of Tableau connectivity with HDFS, Hadoop, Spark, Impala, Oracle, Python, SQL & Complex Queries. Ability to work with huge datasets
• Sound knowledge of Tableau concepts like filters, parameters, set, actions, data & time functions, data relationship models
• Ability to optimize dashboard performance, load time and extract refresh time
• Ability to perform site admin tasks and strong knowledge of Tableau extracts/Hyper refresh, connection types, data sources, schedules, subscriptions and user\'s permissions
• Have a good understanding of data management systems and processes within the ecosystem.
• Good experience working with SQL or Tableau Prep. Ability to write custom SQL Queries
• Experience with any script language (R/Python) is an advantage
• Experience working in an Agile or fast paced and dynamic environment is a plus.
• Must have worked in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) environment.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, collaborate with geographically dispersed teams.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of Financial Products is a PLUS
