Understand current machine and power electronics topologies, including performance characteristics, direct drive and geared machine integration, and machine inverter, DC/AC inverter, and DC/DC converter technologies.
Apply knowledge of design parameters, packaging, mechanical, electromagnetic, wiring, and sensing and failure modes.
Stay informed on manufacturing, assembly, supply base, and market landscape.
Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, practices, and regulations.
Manage system interfaces and testing/validation methods.
Collaborate with other mechanical, systems, electrical, digital control, manufacturing test, industrial design, and test engineers to meet design and program needs.

RESPONSIBILITIESQualifications
College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or an appropriate STEM field is required.

QUALIFICATIONSExperience
Significant experience integrating various energy generation and energy storage systems into automotive powertrains (passenger car preferred).
Hands-on experience with electric machines and power electronics testing methods and/or directing testing.
Prior Senior or Lead Engineer equivalent work experience in a relevant discipline area with a demonstrated track record of technical problem solving and quality decision making.
