This position reports directly to the SEIT Capability MBSE Manager. As a member of PLM team, you will be responsible for the development of system integration strategies and architectures that promote use of common tools and processes. A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration as these positions will focus on working directly with the Manager to deliver Engineering statements of work to meet the organizational goalsSpecific responsibilities includeDesign and deploy engineering systems tools and process architecture across PLM.Provide systems integration expertise and related support to the entire systems engineering teamProficient in the design, development and use of multiple architecture frameworks, tools, and methodologiesAbility to analyze, design, code, test and debug existing and new programs to support the customization of the Enterprise level 3DX PLM.Understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area.Understand the inter-relationships between components of systems and plans, anticipate future events, and apply the principles of systems thinking to accelerate performanceLead the migration of legacy data, support 3DX integration and regression testingKnowledge of responsibilities and tasks performed by various Engineering departments/disciplines (e.g., design, test, software, technology, avionics) and of the interaction between departments/disciplines and how their products/processes affect one another and impact non-engineering processes (e.g., Operations, Logistics, Business).Proficient in CATIA V5/V6 and 3Dexperience and 3D Part modeling using parametric relations.Ability to identify and implement model-based architecture and engineering methods and standardsCoordinate with various programs to determine Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Training and Tool NeedsDemonstrate excellence in use of Systems Modeling Language (SysML) and systems modeling methods, at least one systems modeling tool: (preferred) NoMagic, Magic Draw or IBM Rational Rhapsody; others considered if applicable.Design and develop CAD custom applications development, testing and deployment for CATIA V5/3DX CATIA using C#.Manage a team of systems engineers to develop and manage product line system requirements. Decompose aircraft level requirements and/or customer use cases to product line level i.e. equipment / systems software level requirements and establish tracing.Communicates with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success.Candidate must have strong attention to detail and knowledge on Mechanical Design rules.Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, functional requirements and non-functional requirements.Develops the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of tools, risk, issues, opportunity management processes.Lead a local team of PLM Engineers, provide daily direction of tasks and assignments.Teach/mentor PLM team members about Boeing PLM processes and how to use PLM tools.Required Skills/Qualifications:This position requires 2-18 years of demonstrated experience on 3DExperience and automation tools and methodologies with exposure to electrical, mechanical, and systems \xe2\x80\x93 Tools and Processes.Experienced on Multi-disciplinary design optimization.Knowledge and understanding of various workflows, in an end to end product development with a system / system-of-systems environment is preferred.Experience and familiarity PLM, preferably 3DExperience platform is mandatory.Familiarity with TeamCenter (PDM, DCAC, CAPP)Experience in systems architecting and model-based systems engineering (MBSE) of aircraft systems is preferred.Advanced knowledge of design concepts and techniques (e.g., concurrent engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly [DFM/A]).Experience with the following software development languages is highly desired: C#, VBA - *.NET, C++, Tcl/TK.Functional experience of product development in Aerospace/Automotive domain is mandatory.Knowledge and understanding of various workflows, in an end to end product development with a system / system-of-systems environment is preferred.Hands on experience on VBA scripting/ Java scripting/ Python scripting.Familiarity with the Agile/SAFe Process is recommended.Strong written, verbal communication with engineers, management, and non-engineering support staff.Desired Skills/Preferred Qualifications:Hands on experience or understanding of any PLM, preferably 3DExperience platform.INCOSE certification on Systems Engineering is an added advantage.Experience on Modelling Frameworks like SysML, UAF, ToGAF, DoDAF, MagicGrid.Knowledge on EKL, Tcl/Tk scripts is preferred.Experience in application of SAE ARP 4754 / 4761 / MIL Standards for Systems Engineering aspectsGood understanding of DO 254/DO178C standards is desired.Familiarity with DO 160 Standards / MIL STD 704 & MIL STD 461 requirement is desired.Typical Education & Experience:Engineering degree or Master\'s degree with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Boeing is the world\'s largest aerospace company and leading manufacturer of commercial airplanes and defense, space and security systems.
