AECOM is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our world class rail team. This role will work very closely with rail design and enhancement project teams to ensure that operational deployment is a success. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to work on projects to include, Civils, MEP, Communication Based Train Control (CBTC), Traction Power System designs, communications designs in the support of projects and mega programs.
The role will work in accordance with AECOM\'s values and demonstrate commitment, active involvement and leadership regarding zero harm, client, people and financial accountabilities. When undertaking tasks on rail related projects, the role will comply with requirements as defined by Rail Safety National Law National Regulations 2012 and the project specific requirements regarding \xe2\x80\x9crail safety work\xe2\x80\x9d. Note: you may be required to undertake a formal Competency Assessment and further Rail Safety Training if required under the Contract Conditions.
Responsibilities of this role may include:
Accountable for the effective delivery of the Systems Engineering elements of projects, i.e. time, quality goals and budget.
Managing requirements, interfaces, assumptions, risks, issues, system architectures and process development.
Review designs and technical specifications.
Planning the delivery and resource requirements of the assigned project.
Coordination of project designs with other disciplines, including attendance at project meetings.
Review shop drawings, record changes and communicate directly with suppliers, contracts and client representatives, as required.
Identify project costs trending out of budget.
Contribute to the overall team development and growth through strategic inputs.
